Special Chapter

This chapter based on the prank call on the BBC radio which Simon called Amanda to tell her that she's not gonna involve in every semi-final nights. This special chapter is also my Christmas's gift for you guys, some sugar to make your holiday even much sweeter :>

Simon's POV
I've got an offer for an interview on BBC radio and I accept this. I first thought it was just an interview but then, I realize that it is Nick Grimshew's joke show. He told me to call Amanda to announce that she's not gonna attend in the show for a while
-Are you kidding me? If she finds out, I will be killed!
-So don't let her finds out, you will say it is just a joke at the end
-Oh gosh, this is no kidding
I quite worried, but still make a phone call to Amanda because I actually want to know how will she react back.

Amanda's POV
I'm lying on the sofa with Chris, watching our favourite movie. We've not been together like this for a while cause we're both busy with our job. The phone suddenly rings.
-Who's that honey?
Chris asked
-Well, let me see... Oh, it's my boss, Simon
-Is anything wrong, he has never called on weekend?
-I don't know. Give me a minute, I'll be right back
I smiled and walked out to the door to pick up the phone
-Hello
-Hi baby!
He said
-What have I done? What are you ringing for???
I was quite surprised when he called so I immediately asked him continously
-No you haven't done anything. How are you?
-I'm fine
-Are you on your own, I need something to tell you
-No, actually
-So move to somewhere else alone
After hearing him said that, I open the door and walk outside.

[ I'll skip some part of the call because it was quite long and I could hardly remember it all. Simon told Amanda that he will replace her with other people for the change of the show. Even though it was just a prank call, Simon's acting is so damn good that Amanda completely believes in what he said ]

-Are you serious?
I tried to ask him one more time. I'm really shocked right now, never think that one day he wouldn't need me anymore, after everything
-Yes
He replied, with no hesitation. That's clear, I try my best not to let my emotion blurts out
-Ok
-You're listening to Nick Grimshew's joke
-Nick Grimshew's joke?!.... Oh my gosh, Simon!!!!!
-Oops
He smiled, seems really excited after pulling my leg
-I hate you Simon!!!!
I shouted to the phone
-I know it. Love you darling

Simon's POV
I know that Amanda is gonna be mad at me and I may get myself into trouble because the audition is beginning soon. However, I didn't expect one thing that she will come sooner than I thought. She arrives at my house on the next day and presses the bell
-Holly cow...
-What's wrong, honey? Is that Amanda?
Lauren asked, stepped forward to look through the window with me
-Can you open the door for me? And, tell her that I'm not at home at the moment?

Lauren's POV
I walked downstairs and opened the door for Amanda, still don't know why Simon has to hide from her
-Hi Lauren!
-Hi Amanda, what brings you here?
-Just something need to deal with Simon. Is he home?
She asked
-No he isn't... Actually, he told me to tell you that he's not here
I whispered to Amanda
-Don't worry Lauren. He played prank on me so that's why I'm here
She smiled

Simon's POV
The audition is finally coming. As soon as she saw me, she quickly rushed to me and tried to catch my neck and start scolding me. She seems ok after that so I'm quite relieved. It was just a joke afterall, how can something like this affect a strong woman like Amanda.
When we all go inside the dressing room, just only me and Amanda, I suddenly asked her because I' m still wondering about her true feeling
-Answer this honestly. Are you okay when heard that?
-You idiot...
She sighed, I then realized that her shoulder is shaking
-Are you crying darling?
I immediately come to her, and placed my hand on her shoulder
-You don't know how much I was worried at that time
She said. I cup her face and look straight to her face, tears are streaming down on it.
-I nearly cry at that time, because of the fear that I can't be with you anymore. But you seem to have nothing with it, you still laughed at that time, as if you'll be ok if that really happens
She patted my chest continously. I try my best to calm her down and cuddle her in my arms
-I'm sorry for being careless. Because never had I thought that I'll lose you. Never had it crossed my mind even once that you'll leave far away from me
-What if I leave? What if one day I have to leave?
She asked and looked straight to my face.
-So it would be someday in the future. As long as it's not today, because I'm not ready to lose you yet. At least today, stay with me.

I expressed. Our head slowly move closer and we finally reach each other's lips. It isn't last for so long but I can feel her lips on mine after such a long time. She breaks the kiss and lay her head into my chest. I kiss her on her forehead like I usually do, but this time, this kiss also means what I always want to say
" I'll always stay by your side, I promise "
