Some context: Draco went to Durmstrang - not Hogwarts. All the drama around Voldemort still happened except only Lily died and it happened when Harry was 10 - also Draco's parents had run from Voldy instead of joining him. Harry and Draco only saw each other once more when they were 9.

Draco's POV

Draco's eyes fluttered open, only to be met with darkness. He shot up, disoriented and trying to recall where he was. It took a second but he remembered he was underwater on an enormous boat, on his way to Hogwarts for the Tri-wizard Tournament.

Sighing quietly he pushed his way out of bed and wandered to the window, staring out the small opening and into the murky waters. There were no fish that he could see, but he was sure he saw some unnatural movement in the corner of his eye. While he studied the empty water, he let his mind wander to Hogwarts. He didn't really know all too much about it, except for the fact that he was supposed to attend school there instead of Durmstrang. He briefly wondered if his childhood friend went there. He had almost forgotten the small, messy haired boy but occasionally let himself think about him. Draco thought more about the short time he had spent with Harry and moved absently to his small bag he'd packed for this trip.

While it took a little bit of digging he eventually managed to fish out the old photo his mother had taken of himself and Harry all of 5 years ago. It was a moving image of a tiny Draco laughing at something before the other boy jumped in, slinging an arm around him shoulder and smiling brighter than the camera flash. The more he looked at the photo, the more he began to hope that Harry did attended Hogwarts - or even Beauxbatons. The more he looked at the photo, the more he felt his Malfoy mask slip away. He smiled softly and almost felt himself laugh at the surprised face he'd made when Harry hugged him in the photo.

Harry's POV

Harry rolled over, groaning heavily. He'd woken up about 15 minutes ago, but he really didn't feel like getting up. The others in the room with him - minus Ron - were clattering around trying to get ready in time for breakfast, which was ruining his mission to go back to sleep.

"Harrry! Did Ron hide my wand again?!" Seamus yelled from the other side of the room

This finally made the raven-haired boy sit up, and reach for his glasses.

"How should I know? Ask him yourself" His voice was still thick with sleep as he half-shouted back. In truth, Ron had 100% hidden Seamus's wand. Harry just didn't know where.

"Ughhh, I don't wanna wake him up - he's terrifying if someone else wakes him up" Came the eventual reply, which was followed by the sound of scraping draws. Harry sighed and stood up, moving to Ron's bed and tossing a pillow at his sleeping form - successfully waking him up.

"Oi! Harry, what was that for?" He muttered, sitting up and messing up his already atrocious hair.

"Seamus wants his wand-"

"So he did hide it!"

"-back and I don't know where you put it."

Ron pushed himself up out of bed with a disgruntled huff and wandered over to where Seamus was searching the draws. With that, Harry decided it was too much effort to go back to sleep and went to put on his uniform.

----

Once he was down at the Great Hall, Harry was really glad he'd decided to get up today as Dumbledore made the announcement of the Tri-wizard Tournament and let the doors swing open, revealing a group of foreign students in blue uniform. These students Harry assumed were Beaxbatons, he began to unconsciously scan over their faces as they spun and danced gracefully towards the front. He frowned a little, he didn't really find anything of interest in the line of french students who were now crowding to the left side of the hall.

Harry was only startled out of his 'daydream' state when a loud cane hit the solid stone floor in a rhythmic beat. His head snapped back to the entrance to see the heavily dressed Durmstrang students marching to the front - soon breaking into a run. Again, he began to scan the faces, only stopping when a strikingly familiar blonde ran past him. Of course he knew who it was, he just didn't think he'd ever see him again. Draco freaking Malfoy was currently standing at the front of the great hall as the rest of the people who'd come with Durmstrang caught up. This included Viktor Krum which is who was catching the attention of majority of the Hogwarts students. Almost all except Harry - who was desperately hoping Draco would turn to face him.

Draco's POV (Ik i'm switching POV a lot - sorry)

Draco slid into an open seat at a table full of students wearing green and sliver ties, who he later figured out were named 'Slytherin'. He looked back up with boredom to the older wizard - who had introduced himself as Dumbledore - only to realise he was sat at a large table, chatting to the other teachers, not paying attention to the students. Realising that he didn't have anymore announcements, the blonde busied himself with trying to find anyone of interest in the crowds of people. He scanned the table he was at first, and deciding that while a few of them looked like they could be decent people, he'd rather see everyone first. So he continued looking, until coming to a rest on a head of messy, black hair, almost directly opposite of him. Something familiar about the boy started up something in his heart.

'C'mon, just look up for one second!'

This thought ran through Draco's mind so many times, he almost believed it was his doing when the raven-haired boy looked up, directly at him and at first looked shocked, before smiling - brighter than a camera flash.

Sorrry, that's all I'm gonna write for today. I'll try update again soon but i'm pretty busy rn. Should I do a P3? I'll try bring this one to a close if you want but I might also start a new story off this idea with more detail, lemme know what you think.
