Have you ever known a silence so loud?
It is as simple as sitting side by side, without saying a word, nor a single glance. At times, it feels like something surreal electrifies your skin and it comes from within. The thing inside your chest runs at a fast pace, then slows down, then skips a beat once in a while. A big crowd is ruling your head, telling you to say a thing or two in every three seconds. Some words made it through your brain, reach up to your throat, but stuck there then go down as you swallow those lumps.
Forty five minutes times three. Never have you overcome a silence so loud that long.
It is as complicated as awkward flirtations result in awkward three second silences which turn into light giggles and smiling faces while each of you immediately walking away from each other. It was awkward, it was not. It was totally fine, it was not.
Three magical steps. Enough amount of time for your soul to float away from your body. But then, as it got back, you heard somebody said, 'Something is definitely going on. I can feel it.'
Have you ever understood a silence so loud that even others could hear it so clearly?
