I hung upside down off the couch, bouncing a ball against the wall. The bus was empty except for Harry, the voice of Rachael and I. Liam, Niall and Zayn went out for lunch, leaving us behind. It was our choice, of course. Liam said he'd bring us our food back so we could eat together as a couple instead of at complete opposite ends of the table, with Zayn. It just made our lives easier. So, we had the bus to ourselves.

Harry sat down next to me with a beerr in his hand, then took a swig. "What's the great news?" he asked, placing the bottle on the floor by his feet. I threw the ball against the wall and it bounced back, landing perfectly in my hand. I smirked, squeezing the smooth, blue ball.

"Well," she began. I flipped around and sat up straight, stealing of sip from Harry's bottle. "I talked to everyone at our last meeting regarding Larry, about all that stuff and your proposal and stuff."

"And?" I asked.

"This is good news, I believe." she said. I bounced my knee up and down, anxious to hear what had happened. "I voiced my opinion: that I thought you two shouldn't have to practically hide under a table whenever you were in public and wanted to look at each other, which of course the disagreed with. I asked them why, and they just shook my off and went on with their talking about their what-next precautions or whatever. I pipped in again, and went forward with your proposal. They seemed totally crossed at first and starting asking me all these questions as if we were building the next damn Empire State. I wanted to tell them it wasn't that complicated, but I stayed quiet. They said they'd agree, but then this guy walked in and went off about how being gay was wrong. Then I got pissed. I stood up - and slammed my hands onto the table - and started screaming about how he was wrong not you guys. They asked why i cared so much, if I was gay. And, hell, I am! They were totally surprised they had assigned a lesbian person to attend to the so-called wrong-doers. But I do my job well, and that's what pushed the bar forward. I begged a bit more, and they agreed that if they cut your pay in two - for each of you - then you guys can be friends, but no more, in public. I took the deal, hoping you guys would like it. I'm educating the leaders on homosexuality, as well, i hopes they'll accept it more than despise it. So, I guess a lot of good came out of this."

"Oh, my God." I said, staring at Harry. He nodded, gaping at me, eyes wide.

"This is great!" he said, jumping on top of me. "Thank you, thank you, thank you."

"No problem. My class is in about a half hour, so I better get going. I need to set up and stuff. I'll call back after your concert, if you don't mind. We may have more to discuss."

"Okay," I said, pushing Harry off of me to prevent him from collapsing my lungs, "Have fun, and talk to you later!"

Harry grabbed the phone and disconnected, allowing me to get up. He out it down and I ran towards him, jumping ino his arms, We sopun and he placed my back on my feet, smiling. "We did it." he said into my hair.

"We did. Let's go meet the boys." I slipped on my shoes and left, Harry following behind me.

We pushed through the door of McDonald's, seeing the other boys right away, at a large table by the window. We walked over and slid into the seats, me next to NIall and Harry next to Liam, across from one another. It was great. The boys stared on oddly, watching Harry and I chitchat like none of this was completely odd and could cost out jobs. "We'll explain later." I said out of the corner of mouth, watching the rest of the boys faces relax. Liam pushed our burgers over, along with napkins and drinks. I opened my up and took off th bun, and squirt ketchup all over the lettuce.

"Gross," Harry said, shaking salt onto his fries. I recovered my burger and took a bite. "So, what's up guys?"

"Um, nothing, mate." Liam said, swallowing. His eyes darted around the place. "You?"

"We just got off the phone with Rachael." I said, as Harry beamed.

"That representative from Modest! ?" Niall asked. He stole a fry and I slapped his hand away, taking another bite of my burger. This was one of the first meals I've spent with Harry actually near me in oublic in about three years.  just hoped it wasn't the last - who knows what Modest! would come up with anymore to keep Harry and i away from each other.

"Yes." I said.

"Okay, and?"

"Harry, what kind of news did we get?" I was smiling and couldn't stop. A;though we were losing money, I didn't care because I was now friends with Harry in public. That's all the mattered.

"Very good news." he said, smiling from eye-to-ear. I kicked him under the table but it didn't faz im: he was estatic. I didn't blame him, this was the best news we had in a long time.

"what was it?" Liakm asked.

"Yeah, tell us!" NIall said, who was smiling, too. It seemed everyone was happy in that moment (except Zayn, or so it seemed. He still didn't agree with me being gay.), and that was the best moment ever. Sitting in Mcdonald's with everyone, telling the best news ever and we were all happy. Someone was always upset nowadays, and we were barely together in public. That was about to change for the better. I couldn't wait.

"Well. . ." Harry said, then looked at me.
