Cole's Pov
"Yeah, yeah whatever you say Mr. Denial River." Riley says while I watch her walk to the others. I rolled my eyes at the little nickname she gave me when she and the others found out my original name was Nial. (My parents started to call me Cole after my uncle who passed away that I reminded them of.)
Riley then opened her mouth to the others and said to them "Guys I think we should leave the lovebirds alone for a little." I mentally facepalmed at her words, she just never stops.
"Agreed" said Kayla.
"Okay bye guys!" exclaimed Freddy as they were walking away. Carlos then yelled behind him "Have fun!" Then I heard Reyah yelling "But not too much fun!" And they all go away. Welp this is what I've had to deal with all my life. I then turned around to look at Jenna, she was so perfect. Her long hair that she always had in a braid, the energetic smile she gave me every day, her eyes that I can stare in all day, her little dimples on her cheeks and just her. I liked everything about her, and there's times where I feel like she likes me too and then there's other times where her and Riley are joking about my Mickey Mouse voice, my wimpy arms and how I'm gay and they're here for me and can come out to them and etc. where I feel like she doesn't like me at all and probably just sees me as a friend or a brother. I was deep in thought and dazing off when she caught my attention.
"COLEEE!" She yelled snapping me out of my trance. "Huh, what?" I said confused. She was probably saying something earlier but I didn't seem to notice.
"Woah I thought I lost you there for a sec" she said jokingly I chuckled then she continued
"You have no idea how much I missed you." My heart fluttered when she said that. Did she like me? No, she's one of my best friends she probably didn't mean it in the way I want her too.
I got a little tongue twisted but finally managed to say "R-Really? You missed me?"
She then replied with "Of course" my heart was beating like crazy and I was blushing. I just can't seem to hide my feelings as well as other guys can. She then said "You're my Gay Best friend after all" she laughed. Yup, she definitely doesn't like me. I squinted my eyes again at her and shook my head saying "I'm not gay!" She just laughed "Calm down, Calm down. I was just kidding." She said while laughing. I just chuckled nervously. If getting teased by Riley 24/7 wasn't enough, I had to get teased and messed with by the girl I like sometimes too. Fml.
I looked behind Jenna and found Reyah, Kayla, Riley, Carlos, Freddie and Nick looking at us from afar talking, probably trying to figure out what we were saying. Once they realized I was looking at them they all turned their heads quickly except Riley who had no shame. She looked at me with a smirk on her face and teasingly made her eyebrows dance and go up and down and had a look on her face that screamed "You love Jenna, you love Jenna". I groaned. I then saw Kayla smack Riley in the arm and I chuckled. I then turned back to Jenna who was sitting down on her phone. I was about to say something til the bell rung. I then said "Bye Jenna" and she replied "Byeee!" Then left to go to Riley. I sighed watching her go. This is gonna be a long year.
