How it all began

I walked around campus with Riley, being cautious not to come across either one of the boys. Then she struck me with it. The thing I was dreading. I knew she was going to ask me at some point today but still she caught me off guard. Riley told me yesterday that I had to make my decision. I took a deep breath, preparing for it. "Jenna??? Answer meeee I'm dyinggg to know!!!" she said. "Huh? What did you say?". I pretended that I didn't hear her. "You know what I said."
Shit she didn't buy it. I sighed.
"Oh yeah, Right. I choose..."

Now before I tell you more lets start from the beginning so you know exactly how I got to this awkward position.
I'm Jenna I have blonde naturally curly hair, green eyes and I'm really short. 🙄
I have 3 close friends. Reyah who has beautiful dark skin and black hair and brown eyes. She is the mom of the group.
There is also Kayla who has brown eyes, brown hair and wears glasses;
She's the older sister and the "bossy" one of the group(according to everyone else). We love her anyways tho.
Then there's Riley who has dark brown hair with caramel highlights and brown eyes and also cheeks that are always red. She's the chaotic and crazy one of the group and the loud one. We're alike on the fact we are both weird and bubbly.
Our whole lives there were always a few boys we hanged out with 24/7 that we had a little crew with.
There's Cole or as Riley likes to call him Mr. BitchyPants 😂. Don't ask, they're just always having little arguments that leads to names like that.
There is also Carlos who is that friend who always ships you with someone. That is something him and Riley always do. And guess who they ship me with? 🙄 Hint: It starts with C and ends with ole
Then there's Nick who is quiet at first but not so much once you get to know him.
Finally there is Freddie who's nice and kinda strict at times but can let loose when he wants to. Hes also Riley's twin brother.
All of these people have been my friends for as long as I can remember. I don't know what I would do without them.
Now let's go back to the year all this began. It was the first day of 8th grade semester 2, our last year of middle school and probably our last year we would all be together since some of us were going to different high schools. Out of our main crew everyone was going to the same high school except me and Kayla, and no me and her didn't go to the same school either. But, I gotta stop thinking ahead and start focusing on now.
I arrived to the courtyard waiting for the bell for homeroom to ring when I saw Riley running around the courtyard like a maniac while dragging Kayla and Reyah behind her. I laughed. Some people just never change. They all, stopped once they spotted me and we dramatically ran towards each other and did a group hug. Then I see the boys start walking towards us.
"Hey Guys" Carlos, Nick and Freddie greeted.
"Heyyy" I said "Hey Jenna." Cole said while staring at me and blushing a little while looking nervous.
At those 2 words he said Riley's eyes lit up and she scoffed and then said "I get that you like her but damn you just completely ignored the rest of us." She teased while she smirked. I rolled my eyes and quietly sighed while I mumbled "Riles..." to her as a signal for her to shut up.
Cole then stopped staring at me and looked at the girls embarrassed. "Oh hey Reyah, Kayla,...Demon Child."
Riley and I laughed then she replied "You're just mad cuz I speak the truth that you like her". Ugh she always has to tease. I saw Carlos, Reyah, Kayla, Freddie and Nick snickering behind Riley . I looked over to Cole and saw him blushing and squinting his eyes and shaking his head which is something he always does. He then stated "I don't like her" in his whiny voice which was the only one of the boys that hasn't gotten deeper yet. "Yeah, yeah whatever you say Mr. Denial River." She said rolling her eyes while walking to the others. She then said to them "Guys I think we should leave the lovebirds alone for a little".
"Agreed" says Kayla.
"Okay bye guys!" exclaimed Freddy as they were walking away. Carlos yelled "Have fun!" Then I hear Reyah yelling "But not too much fun!". I rolled my eyes at my friends. This is gonna be a long year.
