TWO MONTHS LATER
Hermione woke up with a pounding headache. She had once again fallen into a mindless stupor completely induced by a large bottle of Savignon Blanc and her trusty charm work that meant she never had to see the bottom of the bottle.
Sighing at her fast-paced track towards alcoholism, she peeled herself off her bed and stumbled into the bathroom for a shower before work.
As she washed her hair, she closed her eyes and flashes of a certain platinum blonde Slytherin haunted her visions as it always did when she closed her eyes.
His light grey eyes shining at her when she woke up. The dazzling smile he wore when he woke in his own body for the first time and to make matters worse, Hermione's head hurt just as much as that very same morning she woke in her own body.
The emotionally damaged witched reached for the tap and turned it full blast to cold forcing her out of her memories and urging her to hurry her showering routine.
She rinsed her hair free from conditioner, washed the residue off of her body and shut the water off, stepping out into the freezing bathroom.
She quickly dried and dressed, opting for a simple white chiffon blouse and a black pencil skirt. She ruffled her brown locks and styled her hair, scrunching the curls into place and bewitching them to stay in place throughout the day.
On the way out of her bedroom door, she shrugged on a burgundy coloured blazer, dabbed a bit of lipgloss on her lips and added a swish of mascara to her lashes.
She went downstairs and found Ginny and Harry smooching over the kitchen counter.
"Oh. Er, good morning guys." She announced awkwardly.
It was hard to tell who was more embarrassed out of the three. Hermione recovered first.
"Sorry to interrupt. I'll just grab my morning coffee and I'll be on my way." She said kindly.
"Aw, Mines. We're really sorry. We know the last few months haven't been easy on you." Ginny said apologetically while Harry stood there nodding.
"Nonsense! Ginny, Harry, this is YOUR house and you are entitled to do exactly what you like within the comfort of your own home. Don't change your habits to suit me, I'll be fine and to be quite honest I'm just glad you let me stay here with you." She said back as she made her coffee in her travel mug.
"Let you stay here?" Harry said looking bewildered. "Hermione. You are my FAMILY. This is your home too and you will always be welcome here. You know that. You staying here isnt even a question. We don't change for you, we care about you and if there are little things we can do to help you heal faster then that's what we're willing to do because we love you."
Hermione turned to her longest friend and set her travel mug down. Strolling across the kitchen she wrapped both Harry and Ginny in a huge hug.
"You two are absolutely amazing. I love you guys." She mumbled.
Releasing them she reached for her mug and grabbed her handbag.
As she got to the kitchen door leading out to the hallway she turned to them both. "If you really want to help me, be yourself. Just because romance isn't in my life doesn't mean it doesn't exist. What am I going to do? Break down everytime I see someone being affectionate? Now we can't have that can we?" She plastered on a fake smile and winked at them both as she headed out the front door to work.
