Focus

Jacob POV

I noticed that Faith hasn't been feeling well at all today so as her husband it's my job to make sure she is taken care of. I decided that I would go out and buy her some soup and a few white sodas just to help get rid of the sickness. "Jay where are you going?" she asked "I'm just going to buy you some soup and a couple of white sodas, here keep your phone right next to you just in case you need to call me" I said "But I don't want to be in this house all alone" she said sounding scared "Baby I'm literally going up the street" I said "Okay, just hurry back" she said turning over on her side. Before heading out I put a bucket on her side of the bed just in case anymore surprises came up. I got in my car and turned on the greatest station in the world 98.3 and "Pretty Brown Eyes" by Mint Condition was on I swear this station always plays the best music. I just as I was about to go inside the store my phone started ringing and it was my dad "Hey dad what's going on?" I asked "Son your mother just wanted me to call and check up on you, how are you and Faith doing?" he asked "Well I'm doing great, Faith is sick so I just stepped out to get her some soup and some white sodas" I said "Alright son, now if there is anything you need I need to tell me just know I'm all ears" he said sternly "Actually dad, don't tell mom that I told you this but I'm back in the game" I said "Have you lost your rabbit ass mind" he said "No dad it's only for a little while, me and a few other guys were laid off and so since it was the only other life I ever really knew I decided that I would just hustle up money and then save up to open my own firm" I said "I mean that does make sense, but you know that eventually your mother is gonna feel that up in her gut and you're gonna have to tell her what's happening" he said "Yeah dad, but I mean I'm just trying to provide for my family and this is the only way that I really know how so I'm kind o-" He cut me off "Look son, I'm not mad at you because I know how it feels to not be able to provide for your family, and this isn't the only time you've done it, all I'm going to say is FOCUS" he said "Okay dad, tell mom I said hey and that I love her and I will talk to her later" I said. After getting off the phone with my dad I finished getting stuff for Faith to help get rid of her sickness then I headed home.

Faith POV

This morning I woke up and I didn't feel good at all, I was sweating really bad and I couldn't seem to keep anything down. I don't know why I feel like this, I can't be pregnant, maybe it's just a fever or something I thought to myself. I just didn't like the fact that I was in the house all by myself. I had to use the bathroom, It's not that far from the bed so I figured I would make the trip once I got out of the bed and made it halfway to the bathroom door I started to feel a little woozy and then I passed out. It seemed as if my body had left and went to another dimension or something because I swear in that moment I saw my mother. "Faye, you are making me so proud and if I was alive I would have definitely approved of that young man down there, he's a good man and I'm sorry that I wasn't around to keep your father from hurting you it pains me that I wasn't there to protect you from him beating you" she said to me "Well now I can see where I get my looks from, can I just hug you I swear it will be one of the greatest memories I could ever have with you" I said crying "I have visited you many times, you know those times when you feel like someone is rubbing your forehead in the middle of the night, that person is me, and from now on you will be able to sense when I'm in your presence" she said "So, what is the real reason that you left, is it something that you have to tell me, why are you just now speaking to me?" I asked her "I had Lupus and at the time it was a risk of me to have a child the whole time through the pregnancy I feared for your life more than I did mine and my last words were give her my love so she knows I loved her but your father was made because I didn't tell him that I loved him, as far as me needing to tell you something, baby girl you and your husband need to focus don't let the game drift you guys apart, start cooking for him more often, clean the house, offer him massages, constantly check up on him, and most importantly keep an eye out on him you have connections everywhere now use them, and to answer that last question I couldn't find the right time to come approach you but don't worry, I won't be the only one visiting you" she said "So that's why my dad hated me, and what do you mean you're not the only one visiting me?" I asked confused "Thanks for sending me one grandchild, I've been telling her all about you, now there are two other important people coming to see you, but only when you're least expected, see you later sweet child tell Jacob I said hello and thanks for taking care of you, Jacob's about to pick you up in three, two, one" she said and she disappeared as I felt myself being lifted.

Jacob POV

Once I got into the house I went straight to the bedroom, but I didn't see Faith on the bed instead I looked around the room and seen her passed out in the middle of the floor. "OH MY GOODNESS, FAY....FAY.....PLEASE ANSWER ME" I said picking her up she soon opened her eyes "I'm okay baby" she said "What happened" I asked her "Well, I figured that the bathroom wasn't a very far walk but then I was halfway there and I got woozy then I blacked out and seen my mom an-" I cut her off "What do you mean you seen your mom?" I asked her "Well when I blacked out she appeared in my face and she was telling me about a whole bunch of stuff, oh and she told me to tell you hello and thanks for taking care of me" she said "Okay baby, are you sure that this actually happened?" I asked looking confused "Jay, I promise you this happened, and she said thanks for giving her a grandchild, she's been telling her all about me" she said "Well what else did she say?" I asked smiling "She told me the reason why my dad hated me, it was because her last words were meant for me instead of him, oh yeah and it turns out I do get my looks from her, and she said how if she was alive she would definitely approve of you and that she was proud of me, and that two other people would visit me but only when I was least expected" She said smiling just going on and on about what happened "It's good that she talked to you and came to visit you, oh and here I bought you some soup and a few white sodas because I noticed that you weren't feeling well today, and my parents said hello" I said "Aww baby, you so sweet, thank you" she said smiling "It's not a problem, I just want you to feel better because I have been slacking with taking care of my queen so I hope this is a good way of making up to you" I said "I appreciate everything that you are doing for me Jay, you're a great man and I really love you" she said looking into my eyes "I love you too baby, now look don't be scaring me like that again okay you almost gave me a heart attack, and get some rest okay let your king take care of you, besides the children are still asleep so I'm gonna be tending to the children while you get some rest and if you need anything I swear you bet not hesitate to call my name" I said "Okay I'll just talk to you when I wake up from my nap" she said laying town. I tucked her into bed and went downstairs so she could get some rest and I took the children out for ice cream. I just want one more child, a son and he's gonna be a jr I started thinking to myself but for now I'm gonna wait for my queen to get better, and on top of that I need to wait for this whole money situation to be done. My phone vibrated and it was a text from my mother

Mom: FOCUS SON

I was confused as to why everyone is saying focus, I really need to hurry up and get out of the game and fast. I just hope that nothing negative pops up because I'm not trying to lose anybody. I decided that I was gonna make an exit but first I need to find a place for my accounting firm, and that's where Faith and Tyler come in since they own so many houses and buildings maybe they could help come up with a decent place for it. My thoughts were interrupted when Ky and G-G started tapping me "Da da" G-G said "Yes princess" I said smiling she pointed at the TV "Can we watch Boss Baby?" Ky asked "Yeah I'll watch it with you two" I laughed and turned the movie on, I enjoy spending time with my children it just doesn't feel the same with Faith being sick and all. Maybe that's who I need to be focusing on since I barely get to have her to myself and spend time with her. After the movie was over I turned on Sing  because I figured it would make them tired, and as I imagined I was right. I went back to my thoughts, I need to start focusing on my family more so they don't feel neglected as much so I will be planning a tiny get together before this little party thing Faith and her friends are planning.
