Two Months Later.............
About a month and a half ago i walked up to my dad and told him i wanted my name changed and today i am proud to say, Ally Smith!
It took us a whole month to get it change. He talked to Alain and she had no other choice than to agree then she had her lawyer get the consent from William Jackson then a Court Order and it was later changed. Dad also asked for his name to be on my birth certificate and so Alain got a Affidavit to change a record, the Appropriate fee, the Court order and a photocopy of my current birth certificate and got william names removed then Akeelie's name was added and it took the whole month to get both things done.
We still had a few things to do, like Alain going over to my school and speaking to the principal about the change of name. I hope it doesn't take another month.
"Ally Smith, " i said looking in the mirror. I smiled.
"Ready? " the door opened and dad came in. I had school for the first time with my new name.
"Yea, " i said and took up my bag.
He took me to school and i met with casie and the girls.
"Ally Smith, " casie smiled at me.
"Yep, " i spoke then they hugged me.
"You know we love you and no matter what we will always be there for you, " casie spoke and i nodded.
"I love you guys too, " i said then we hugged again.
We headed into school and found out that they wanted to meet with all the seniors, so we headed right to the auditorium.
"I bet it's about our exams, " kameel spoke and we laughed.
"Yea, " casie agreed as we sat while others came in and the place got noisy.
"Everyone come in and just have a seat stop all talking, " we heard someone on a microphone.
"Have you guys started studying?" monica asked.
"I started about a week ago, " carla answered.
"About a week ago, week ago," kameel sang then we laughed.
They began talking to us about our examinations and telling us how important they were in getting us into college. Then they spoke about graduation.
Exams would start in two weeks time and i needed to start studying for my six subjects. They gave us our time table and sent us to our classes.
When i got home i told dad and he made sure i got everything and was relaxed to start my studying.
A few days the girls came over and some other days brad came over, other times we had study groups at school.
It was finally the first day of exams. I had history exam. I went in confident and came out slightly confident.
The next exam was one day away, it was Math. I wasn't really sure about that one but i did it and came out feeling ok.
I did two more, Information Tech and English. Those were easy.
"How are the exams so far? " dad asked when i was studying and practicing for Accounts, one of the hardest subjects for me.
"Good, i guess, " i answered and he sat on the bed.
"You guess? " he asked.
"I think i did well so far, " i said and he smiled.
"That's better than saying you guess, " he said and i went back to studying. He sat there and i glance at him a few times. Did he want to talk about something?
