We had gotten our meals and were eating and drinking wine. We had a really fun conversation talking about us. I had some his food he had some of mine.
Soon we had dessert. I had a Italian Trifle with Marsala Syrup and brad had a Tiramisú. We shared those too.
Now we were just seated drinking more wine.
"Where's the gift bag?" He asked sitting forward with his arms rested on the table.
"It's right here," I had it on my lap the whole time.
"Time to see what's inside," he said and I smiled. I took the bag and rest it on the table.
"I have to video," I said then I took my phone up and started the video. I opened the bag and what I took out was a box of chocolate.
"Ouu, chocolate," I smiled. I opened the box and looked at the chocolates they shaped like hearts which had curved letters on them and others shaped like letters. I was capturing everything.
I looked at all the letters and formulated what it was saying. Happy Birthday Ally.
"Wow, how did you get to do this?" I asked looking at him.
"My mom ordered them, I don't know how she got them to look like that, it's actually her gift to you," he answered and I smiled. Brenda actually sent a gift.
"This is so nice of her," I said then I took out one of the letter L and ate it.
"Want one?" I asked and he nodded.
I held the box so he could take one. He took letter A. I rested the box on the table and was looking at it through the Phone that was videoing but froze when I saw a ring.
I blinked twice and moved the phone to see if I really saw the ring and I really did see it.
"Brad?" I looked at him questioningly.
"What?" He asked looking at the box.
"Did your mother put that in the chocolate box as well?" I asked.
He took the box with a confused look. He took the ring out and started looking at it. It was a silver heart to heart ring.
"I am very serious about us," he began to speak and I gave a confused look but he was still staring at the ring.
"I promise to be your friend always," he continued.
"I promise to be faithful," he finally looked at me. I realized what he was doing. This..this ring..it was a promise ring.
"I promise to always love you," he looked me in the eyes. I was just frozen in my videoing position.
"I promise to marry you one day," he said then he smiled.
"I-I..I d- I don't even know what to say babe," I was lost for words.
He laughed. "Just promise to keep this..us together," he said and smiled and nodded.
"Ok, I promise," I said then he put the ring on and I did a light squeal as I got a good video shot of it in the light.
"I love you so much," I eased up and kissed him and he kissed back.
For the rest of the night we took pictures and did videos. We watched a stage performance while we had ice cream then we went to the side of the building where everyone was waiting for a fireworks.
I really had fun with him. It was like the best birthday ever.
...Brad drove me home and we entered. All my friends were still there, must have been waiting up for us but I caught them all sleeping in the living room.
I started walking around and waking them.
"Hey, you're home," casie got up stretching.
"Hey Brad," I heard the others calling to Brad. Some of them yawned and stretched as well.
"Yo.. It's been a crazy night," tray smiled with his sleepy eyes or maybe I should say drunken eyes.
"Yea," Monica was agreeing. That's when I saw wine bottles all over the place.
"How much did you guys treat yourself to?" I asked and they all started looking at each other and laughing.
"How was your night?" Kameel asked and everyone shut up.
"Well.." I held my hand out for them to see the ring.
"So shiny," tray spoke then chuckled. Was he drunk?
"That a promise ring?" Monica asked.
"Yes," I answered.
They all started cheering.
"Guys it's late," I spoke and they all quiet.
"It's actually early," Monica spoke then they darted laughing again.
I smiled and rolled my eyes.
"Oh, I found this," casie handed me a envelope.
"Where?" I asked after taking it. It didn't have any writing on it.
"In one of the boxes," she said. Those boxes.
I opened it. All that was inside were tickets. Like around seven tickets or more.
On the inside of the envelope there was writing. It said From: David. Happy Birthday Ally.
"Omg," I said then I started reading one of the tickets.
"One week vacation," it said. He got me tickets for a one week vacation in the Caribbean.
Holy-Rabies. The Caribbean. This is gonna be awesome.
