Silence

Chapter 9

King's P.O.V 

"This wasn't a good idea, from what the king told me elizabeth isn't a strong swimmer." Meliodas said as he continued to stare at elizabeth. She and diane we tied, but diane began to go faster. Or did elizabeth slow down? 

I looked over to see meliodas with a bored look. "It's alright captain, she will be fine~" Ban sang as he glanced at captain, then looked back at diane. Meliodas turned his gaze from elizabeth and began to glare at ban. 

"Are you sure?" Meliodas asked as he glanced over at elizabeth who seemed to be slowing down dramatically. 

"Of course, why else would I put them up for a race? After all I would never risk the life of the third princess of liones~" He sang as he kept he gaze on diane, who was now cleary winnning. 

Meliodas 'tisked' and began to swim back to the shore. Ban sighed, but he kept he gaze on diane, and I did the same. 

We watched diane go out, until she was a little dot. She waved at us, wait. I've been watching diane the whole time, where is elizabeth? I looked around and noticed that I didn't see her, I felt a bit of panic. 

"Hey guys where's elizabeth???" I asked in a worried tone. Ban looked at me surprised and looked around as well. Ban and I turned around, meliodas wasn't here either. We looked over towards the beach to see him sitting on the blanket. 

"HEY MELIODAS, WE CAN'T FIND ELIZABETH!!!!" I yelled at him. Suddenly a purple mark appeared on his forehead and purple flames surrounded him. 

He glared at ban, then suddenly the flames turned into wings. He quickly flew over to where we last saw elizabeth, and dove down in the water. 

Diane's P.O.V

I turned around and waved at king and ban. Wait where is elizabeth? I thought she was right behind me the entire time. Where is she? OH  NO!!! I forgot she can't swim. I dove down and swam extremely fast backwards. I ran out of breath and swam up for air. 

Once I made it to the top, I took a deep breath. I looked towards ban, and king they had looks of horror and shock on their faces. Suddenly someone with purple wings dove down about 5 feet in front of me. I stayed where I was, and waited. Moments later the boy with prup- wait, that's meliodas. 

How did he get wings? Why are they purple flames around him? Why did he have a serious look of hatred on his face? I had all the questions, but pushed them aside and began to swim back to shore. 

The moment I moved my legs tensed up. I forgot how far I had swam, how long I had swam. "KING!!!" I yelled as I began to sink a little. He looked at me with worry and floated above the water. 

Just moments before he got to me I sunk under the water. I heard yelling my name, I tried to swim, but my legs wouldn't allow it. I heard water splash, I looked up to see king. He wrapped his arms around my waist, and swam upwards. 

Once we reached the top I took an extremely deep breath. I turned and snuggled my face into kings chest. I was so glad he came, I am so glad he can fly. I started shaking a little, as I remembered what happened moments ago. 

The fear of my nearly getting killed, was starting to settle in. I felt king kiss my head, I looked up at him. I placed a soft kissed on his lips, and then pulled away to look at him. 

"Alright lets go check on the princess." King said as he began to float. Spirit spear chastiefol second formation guardian." King said, as a spear floated towards him, then changed into a giant bear. 

The bear picked me up and floated up to, so that we were behind king. As king began to fly, we followed. After finally making it back to shore, we stood there in the sand. Meliodas was giving elizabeth cpr, ban was sitting next to where we landed. 

I walked over to check on elizabeth, but meliodas gave me a death glare. I sat down in fear, and shock, the purple flames were still there. I don't know why, but every time I see those I get a really uneasy feeling. 

I looked up to see king sitting down next to me holding his pillow. He seemed to be thinking the same thing I was. Although ban had a poker face, maybe he was trying to be tough and concealing his feelings? 

Elizabthe's P.O.V 

It was dark, quiet, and calm. I was in a deep sleep, it was silent. I heard nothing at all except pure silence. I was use to silence, in fact these days I embraced the silence. I suddenly heard something, no some one. 

It was fain, but I tried to go towards the voice. I opened my eyes and coughed up a bunch of water. My throat and legs hurt, it was hard to breathe. I felt soft, warm lips connect with mine. I kissed back softly, and after a few more moments, the lips pulled away from mine. 

After the kiss broke I opened my eyes to see sir meliodas...? He had purple flames around him, and a purple mark above his right eye. He eyes were dark purple, they were on the edge of being black. I started shaking, fear set in. My eyes watered and I sat up, and hugged meliodas tightly. 

He held me tightly and nuzzled his face in my neck. I had my hands on his chest, as I continued to cry. He had a hand rubbing my back softly, and I felt his flames start to leave. I pulled away from him to see his eyes returned to the normal emerald green color. The mark above his eye was gone, and so were the flames.

I stopped shaking, and crying after a while. Although I felt meliodas shift, and he pulled me into his lap. "Elizabeth are you ok?" diane spoke looking at me worriedly. 

I was about to respond, but I saw my fathers car, and my father getting out. He was walking towards us. Every one stayed silent until my father was close to us. "Elizabeth?!?!" My dad yelled worriedly as he walked closer to me. 

"I'm fine father, meliodas saved me." I said giving him my best fake smile. Although he seemed to notice it was fake and looked at meliodas. Meliodas looked over to diane, king, and ban. 

"Thanks to meliodas my daughter is safe, thanks to you guys she nearly drowned. I am sorry elizabeth, but I forbid you to be friends with any of them from now on." My father spoke in a stern voice. Diane started to cry and hugged king. Ban looked down for a moment, after that he got up and left. 

King's eyes were watering as he pulled diane to her feet. He glanced at me before he began to pull diane away and follow ban. 

A/N Sorry I meant to update sooner, but tbh I was reading another book. Although I did update, but my mom won't be happy I put wattpad before my home work. In fact she might take away my wattpad, although she will have no luck in doing so :P Wait, she can take my computer, phone, and tablet... If I don't update within a couple of days.... well.... take a guess at what happened....................
