"So where are you taking me?" Sydney asked as we got into the car.

"It's a surprise." I smiled.

"But I don't like surprises." She huffed.

"You'll like this one." I winked.

The ride wasn't too long which was good since Sydney was complaining most of the way.

"You didn't!" She screamed as we pulled up to the restaurant.

"I did." I smiled.

I bought her to her favourite restaurant of all time, Papa's Italian.

"But how did you know?" She asked.

"Brooke." I shrugged my shoulders.

"Of course." She giggled.

As we got seated by the window overlooking the lake we were given a menu to look through.

"What you having babe?" I asked.

"The lasagna, it's literally the best thing." She said.

"What about you?" She asked.

"The lasagna too." I smiled.

A few minutes later the waitress approached our table.

"Hi, are you ready to order?" The waitress smiled.

"Could I have a glass of water and the lasagna please." Sydney smiled.

"Certainly." The waitress smiled back.

"Could I have the lasagna too and a beer please." I said.

"Of course." She smiled.

We thanked her before she took our menus away.

"So why did you bring me here?" Sydney smiled admiring the restaurant.

"Well, we haven't really got any time to ourselves lately and I thought we should have our first date in a place to remember." I smiled.

"Well thank you, it's lovely." She smiled sweetly at me.

For the next half an hour we just chatted about random things until our food came.

"Oh my god." I mumbled as I took my first bite.

"It's good isn't it." She giggled.

"It's amazing." I slightly moaned.

"We'll have to bring the baby here when she's old enough." I smiled.

"She?" Sydney asked.

I nodded.

"How do you know It's going to be a girl?" She raised her eyebrow.

"I don't know, I just have a feeling." I said.

She shrugged taking another bite of her food.

"I think we should start thinking of a few names." Sydney said quietly.

"Yeah, I guess we should." I said.

"So what do you like?" I asked her.

"For a boy, Jacob or Harry. For a girl, Hayley, Grace or Lucy." She said tapping her nails on the table.

"I like for a girl, Natalie, Emily or Lauren. For a boy, Max or Liam." I said.

She cringed slightly.

"Natalie?" She squirmed.

"What about it?" I asked with a small chuckle.

"My mums called Natalie, and it's not like I've had a good past with her." She bit her lip, avoiding eye contact.

"Yeah, maybe not Natalie, but I like Hayley." I smiled, taking her hand.

"I like Hayley too. But I guess we have ages to think of more names." She gave me a small smile.

"Look Sydney..." I started.

"I really want to be with you forever. From the first time I laid eyes on you I knew you were the one. I love you so much and I wouldn't want to spend a day away from you. So I'm asking you to be my girlfriend?" I smiled.

I awkwardly twiddled my fingers whilst I waited for her reply.

"Of course I'll be you're girlfriend." She said getting up and giving me a small kiss.

"I promise I'm going to be the best dad ever." I said resting my hand on her stomach.

"I know you are." She whispered resting her hand on top of mine.
