Chapter 13: A Secret Revealed

Hey. Iz Aura, and Iz will be narrating. :)

Okay. Serious talk. Okay? Think you can do that?

'Cause I can't.

Okay, yeah. So, the four of us weren't entirely sure what this Chamber of Secrets was, and we wanted to know. Because we're nosy little children.

I went to the library after classes, and saw Xenia checking out a book.

"Hey!" I said to Xenia.

She looked at me and smiled as she was getting her book back from the librarian.

"Hey," she said. "Tess is back there trying to find a book. C'mon." Xenia and I walked over to a table where Tess was sitting.

"Hello," I said to Tess as I sat down. "What're you reading?"

"No no no," Tess said, slamming her fist into the table. "Dang it."

"Um, what?" I asked as Xenia sat next to me.

Tess sighed. "I'm trying to read about the Chamber of Secrets, or at least find something. But no. I can't find a single thing."

"Well," Xenia said, getting her book out, "that's why I got Hogwarts, A History. It might have more to say than...whatever you're reading."

Tess sighed again. "Yeah. You're probably right."

"Hm. I almost always am." Xenia smiled.

"What, is that the thing about being a Ravenclaw?" I asked. "You're always, or almost always, right?"

"No," Xenia answered. "That's the thing of having two very smart parents to help you on your homework. And a very smart older half-brother."

"You have an older half-brother?" Morana said as she came over and put her book down. "Didn't see that one coming. May I?" We all nodded. She sat down between Tess and me.

"Yes," Xenia said as she glared at Morana. "I have an older half brother. His name is Alexander. Or Xan. Whichever. He's, like, five years older than me."

"So he's about seventeen?" Morana asked.

"Yeah. He's eighteen."

"Ah. Okay. So, what're you all doing here?"

"Trying to read up on the Chamber of Secrets," Tess answered, putting her book back on a shelf.

"Aw, man! I thought I was gonna be the only one!"

"Nope," I said, smiling at her. "We're all doing it."

Xenia was reading through her book. "Grr!" Xenia slammed her book shut, then slammed it on the table. "I can't find anything! I've read this book twice before, and I still can't find it!" Xenia crossed her arms on the book, then put her head down on it.

We all thought for a minute before Morana spoke. "Hey, maybe Professor Binns knows! He is our History of Magic teacher. And he's a ghost. He might know more than that book."

Xenia looked up at Morana. "Wow. That-that's actually a good idea. Hm. Nice."

"Hey, just because I'm not in Ravenclaw doesn't mean I'm not smart." Morana smirked.

The bell rang for classes.

"C'mon," Tess smiled at us. "It's time to see Professor Binns."
