Seungcheol's POVI closed my locker, swinging my bag across my shoulder, "I'll be heading out first", I told the guys who tiringly said their good byes to me. Practice was over, but I still had to deal with something, more like someone. Why does he need to talk to me again, fuck whatever. I sighed wanting to get this over with.
After arriving at the parking lot of the tall building, I got out of my car, heading towards the entrance. The elevator's long ride to the top floor somehow made me feel anxious, once the doors opened, the cold pressure of the office engulfed me. "Seungcheol", my dad announced my name as if it was some incurable virus. I didn't bother moving a step further, "what do you want", I asked demandingly, the old man scoffed, "why don't you sit down", I sighed in annoyance as he tried using his synthetic sweet tone on me, "I don't plan on staying here any longer than you want me to". My dad let out a big sigh as he sat up from his swivel chair, "what's taking you so long?", I looked at him confused, "that donut shop isn't moving anytime soon", he persisted. "I said I would, but it wasn't gonna be for you", I retorted, trying to contain my anger, I turned around, heading for the elevator, but the man's voiced boomed through the room. "Just where do you think you're going?", I turned around, "out".
"The maids told me you weren't coming home anymore- "
"It's not like you care, I'm eighteen for fuck's sakes"
"Seungcheol! If I really don't care why the hell am I asking you then. You're old enough, but you are still my son"
I sighed raking my fingers through my hair, "no matter who you are, I won't help you with getting rid of that the doughnut shop. You're doing just fine, so leave them alone", I managed to control my anger, finally turning around to walk towards the elevator. "Fine? Things could be better if they moved, Seungcheol!", he yelled as if that was enough to convince me, I stepped into the elevator. "It's a building, after it's gone you're gonna build another one of those useless towers? What's the point? Nothing's gonna change- forget it, I'm leaving", I sighed for the nth time before he could reply the elevator doors did me good by closing right on time.
I rubbed my face in annoyance, "AAH!", sometimes yelling at the top of your lungs in an elevator can somehow relieve tension, only if I could break it, then I wonder if all of the tension would disappear too. I just don't understand what's his problem with the donut shop... there's really no point of building another of his skyscrapers, he has two and certainly more in other cities. He'll just be wasting money, so what's the point? Is there really a point? Is he holding some kind of grudge...? I just want to go home, where Dino and Han are, not the home that that man lives in.
"Why do you look so bothered?", Jeonghan asked as he walked into our now shared room, while I sat on the bed with a sleeping Chan beside me. I pouted unconsciously, looking towards the window, my hands caressing Chan's hair. "A lot of things... or maybe nothing at all", Jeonghan had a skeptical look, suddenly he was standing right in front of me, his soft hands grazing my chin. "You know stress isn't good for one's health or anywhere near that category in fact", I smiled at him as he sat down on the bed, his hand leaving my face, making me pout one again. "Yes, Doctor Han", I teased as he giggled, making me smile. "It's my dad... he's trying to do something that I really don't want him to do... at first I didn't care much about it, but then I found out that there was something special", Jeonghan pursed his lips, tilting his head.
"Have you ever sat with him and took your time trying to explain to him as to why you don't want him to do what he's gonna do", now that I think about it, I never really did, but then again, him? Out of all people, he wouldn't even pay attention nor take it into consideration.
"That man only wants to hear what he wants to"
"Well you never know until you try, right? Plus, aren't you like that?", my eyes widened, me? I shook his comment off trying not to think too much about it. "Then there's the big games coming up, graduation...- oh right, come to the football game this Sunday with Chan, just tell him there's a picnic event and a game with his dad in it", I wiggled my eyebrows, trying to convince him. Han chuckled, "sounds like a plan, although football's pretty rough", I pouted, "aww come on, Chan's bound to be introduced to these things". I poked Jeonghan playfully as he tried to dodge it without waking up Chan, "okay okay, I guess you're right", I smirked, "come on, babe, I'm always right". Just for a split-second, I could see the angel's flushed face right before he smacked my arm, "don't babe me", I laughed.
"How about beauty? Beautiful? Love? Honey? Baby? Hannie? Princess?"
