Will Fraiser

Ugh. We got caught. This was going to be a long day. Well at least Tris kind of believed me.. I was stating the truth. I felt shivers as the we walked to the principals office. I noticed Tris was shaking as well.

As I walked in, Mrs. Lawrence was sitting on the desk and noticed the janitor.

"What seems to be the problem?" Mrs. L said.

"Well, these two pests were talking in the janitors closet when they weren't supposed to. I had a feeling you should know about this." The janitor flashed an evil grin.

Mrs. L's expression was unreadable. Blank. Tris was always the good one, but still sassy. I think Tris might hate me even more now by giving the principal of a bad impression of her.

"I am sad to say this," Mrs. Lawrence said,"but both of you will be given detention after school today. I'm disappointed in both of you, but surprised that you got in trouble Tris."

Tris looked down at the ground eyes squeezed shut. I noticed the little tear slipping down her cheek. This was all my fault.

"Well, I've wasted enough of my time with you. Go." Mrs. L was still sitting on her desk.

Just about when Tris and me were leaving, I blurted,"this was my fault, Tris had nothing to do with it. I swear. Please. She's such a good girl. Don't blame her. I was the one who dragged her in there. Hear me out."

Tris looked pale and looked me in the eye. She looked surprised. I am surprised too.

Sweat stained my face as I waited for Mrs. L to say something. Her eyebrow twitched. Confused? Surprised? Amused?

"I believe you Will. This time. Only because I believe Tris. She would never do this. Or so I think." She stared at Tris.

Tris nodded frantically.

"Fine. Will will have detention. Goodbye now." Mrs. L said impatiently.

I actually felt nice for doing something good.

We walked out. At least I think Tris didn't hate me anymore.

"What was that? What's the catch?" Tris yelled.

"There's no catch. I felt guilty that you were in trouble when you didn't deserve it." I said.

"Well.. Thanks... I guess." She looked unsure about her response.

"Bye I guess..?" I asked awkwardly.

"Yeah. Sure." She walked away.

My heart fluttered.

Tris' POV

As I walked away, I heard some noises. Weird noises may I add. As I walked, it came closer. I was curious. But at the same time, scared.

I came closer, closer.

It came from the janitors closet. Am I getting in trouble again? Well I decided I am not going to be a goody two shoes after all. YOLO.

I silently and slowly opened the janitors closet, and gasped loudly, not prepared to see what I just saw.
