I help my mom down the stairs, and sat her on the chair on the porch. So she can take some fresh air.

"It's be-beautiful" She said looking around

"Yeah it is, You want your tea?" I asked and she nodded her head yes, I got up making my way to the kitchen and pouring her some tea. I walked back and gave it to her as she drank some and put it down on the little table.

"Janet, You look fabulous girl" One of the neighbors compliment my mother bringing a smile to her face which made me smile

"Th-thank you" My mom said smiling

We stay outside for a few, until some guys pull up at the park to smoke. I help my mom up again and brought her inside the house, taking her to the living room, sat her down on the sofa placing her feet up on the table and turning on the small tv.

I walked out and grabbed the cup, and got the mail.

"Yo" Someone said behind me and I rolled my eyes turning around with the mail and cup on my hands, seeing it's the same guy from yesterday

"Yes?" I asked, covering the sun with my mail from my eyes

"Are you going to let me talk to you now?" he asked looking at me up and down

"If you're going to talk to me, you might as well save your breathe" I told him and he sucked his teeth, I turned around and walked back inside the house closing the glass door, leaving the wooden door open.

I started to heat up the left over food from the other day.

I made my mom some can soup, and sat next to her feeding it to her. Once she finished it, I washed the plates on the sink.

I look at the time and saw it was 3:10 pm

Fuck

I grabbed my keys and told my mom i'll be back, I started walking down the steps and saw my siblings walking together

"Where you been?" Hennessy asked

"I'm sorry, I forgot" I said frustrated

"It's all good sis, I got them" I nodded and we walked back home, Delilah sat with my mom telling her about her school day while Hennessy and Sean went to change their clothes.

I took out their plates, serving their food and putting it on the dining table

"Come and Eat" I said to them, I took out some for myself and sat with them

"How come you don't have a boyfriend?" Sean asked curiously

"Why should I have one?" I asked with a raised brow

"Cause I see every girl with one" I shakes my head

"But that doesn't mean I have to have one" he nodded

"You're pretty, who wouldn't want you?" Delilah asked getting involved into the conversation

"I'm not interested in one, right now y'all are my priority" I told them finishing the conversation

"Delilah you have to do the dishes" Hennessy said putting her plate in the sink and walk to the living room to do her homework

"Why can't you wash your own plate" Delilah exclaim

"I'll do it, go do your homework" She nodded and walked to the living room with Sean on her tail.

I was about wash the dishes, and saw we ran out of  soap.

Great

"I'm going to the store" I told them and they nodded, walking my way down the street I see that guys were still there. I rolled my eyes and kept walking ignoring them, but one of them kept staring at me and I stare back.

When I got to the store, I got what I need and then walk back to my house counting the money I had left.

"Hey Katherine" Alfredo said, a kid I went to school with who's now a drug dealer

"Hey" I said with a small smile

"You don't talk to a kid no more" He said rubbing his beard

"You making it seem like we were friends before" I told him and he had a shocked look

"Well, you look pretty today" I nodded thanking him, feeling some eyes on me when I look it was the same guy who was staring at me

Probably has a staring problem

"Have your mom ever told you not to stare too much?" I asked in my head but noticed I said it out loud...Either way I was curious because If I ain't say nothing then it's going to kill me to know why he was staring

"Nah, unless it's someone as pretty as you" He said shrugging, I nodded "I'm Anthony by the way"

"Nice meeting you" I said and walked the rest of the way home .
