"They did, look at the view mom" She turned around walking toward the big windows.
"Whenever you move out, you should give it to me so hector and I could have a g-"
"Mom!"
"Ok ok, I'm sorry" she chuckled walking in the kitchen as I followed her

"I love this stove, and the counter" she said adoring the kitchen
I left her there as I walked to my new room, I made sure that everything was a door blown/black color.

The bathroom weren't done yet, they need to install the counters and toilet.
I finally walked to the only room that was colorful, but wasn't finished yet.
My daughter room.
"She's going to love this!" My mom said looking around the room wall and opening the closets.
"She is, she wanted a princess bed so bad but it doesn't come in till next week" I chuckled "Now she finally getting her own bed"
"No more sleeping with you" She said turning around
"That's my lil baybeh" I said with my little accent
"I have to go back to work, I love you" my mom kisses me on the cheeks
"Love you too, take care" She walked out the condo, as I grabbed my keys and making sure everything was locked before leaving.
I decided to stop the bakery nearby to get some to eat, since I missed breakfast this morning.
When I walked in a few older white people turn their head to look at me, I mugged them as they turn back around to do what they were doing.
"Hey, How May I help you?" Someone ask me, as I looked at what they had.
When I decided what I wanted I placed my order and took a seat on a table nearby the window.
I pulled out my phone checking a few emails, all I needed to buy was the shop. My realtor send me a few locations to check out.
"You order a Meatball panini, and large lemonade" The waiter said placing my order in front of me as I put my phone away I looked up seeing Katherine.
"Thank you" I said not taking my eyes off her, she looked at me giving me a small smile.
"Enjoy" she walked off, as I finished my food.
"He's your check" she said placing my check on the table as she took the plates, I hold her wrist stopping her.
"Can we talk?" I asked looking at her as she kept her head down. One thing I noticed about her is that she had a problem looking at people in the eyes.
"I can't I'm working" she said letting a deep breathe go "can you let me go" she finally looked at me
"I know, I meant after work?" I said taking out my wallet and placing a 50$ bill.
"Okay I'll text you" I nodded trying to hide my smile, I got up putting adjusting my coat.
"Keep the change" I said walking away.
*** I was smoking a blunt in my car as Faneto-Chief Kief blasted.
My phone vibrated, and I looked down seeing a message from Katherine:
Kat: We can meet at the park.. - 9:37 pm
Me: I'm already here - 9:38 pm
Once I notice Katherine walking up to the park, I put my blunt out. Turning the car off and walking up to her putting with my glasses on.
When she noticed me, she gave me a sincere smile.
"Hey" She said putting her hands in her coat, I just admire her. Every time I saw her I would always admire her, I wish I can Thank Ms. Janet for making such a beautiful daughter.
"Wassup" I asked
"You tell me, you wanted to talk" she sat down on one of the swings as I lay back on the rail.
"I just wanted to apologize.." I took a deep breathe "I shouldn't have come at you the way that I did, I know that you did what you did to take care of your family and risking yourself to have money, but Im sorry at the way I came at you, and the way I acted towards you when I would see you."
She just sat there not saying nothing to me.
"You going to say some?" I asked nervous twisting my lips.

"I accept your apology, but honestly Anthony I really wasn't expecting that from you" She looked up at me "Everyone do something to sacrifices themselves to have something, look where I live.. I thank god every day that I finally was able to get a decent job but it's not easy out here"
"I know it's not easy, it took me a while to really realize it.. and Katherine you're so strong, because if it was others they would've given up already or give their siblings to a foster home but I know your mom and dad would guide you in the right path" I preach giving her a small smile and she smile back
"Now you turned into a preacher, I really appreciate your advice" she got up and gave me a hug which caught me off guard and I hug her back.
