After my brother mention me about me being a prostitute or selling my body, I decided to look for jobs. He has told me how they've been bullying him about it and so has Hennessy but I don't know who would do some like that.
I walked around downtown, and see if some places were hiring but none were, I sigh.
I walked into a restaurant, and asked, and they told me the same thing.
At this point, I gave up and walked home. It's like nothing can go good for me, and seeing how this is affecting my siblings, It's affecting me.
I make a stop at the grocery store and got a few things, and made my way home.
Maybe I should work some nights and save the money, which it can last for a couple of months.
I saw Anthony at the park hanging with his friends, after his left my house the other day. He never replied my text messages, it's like I felt like he knew too or maybe it was about not wanting to go to his house for thanksgiving, which is kinda petty.
We never really celebrate Thanksgiving, cause we didn't have nothing to be grateful about besides having each other, and the roof on top of our heads and I didn't want to be somewhere where all his family would get together, and It would make me feel some time of way that I don't have that, I don't know how to put my feeling together.
I zoned out of my thoughts and noticed that I was closer to them. Anthony stood next to a tree smoking with Alfredo and couple of other guys.
Once I got closer, I decided to do something so they won't say anything to me. I started to look inside the bags, pretending like I was missing something.
"Sup Kat" I heard Alfredo say, I turned and smiled at him, and I looked up and saw Anthony looking at me but I broke the eye contact and kept walking.
"You and Anthony mad at each other?" Delilah asked being noisy as always
"Mind your business" I told her and she chuckled, closing the door once I got in the house
"It's okay, it's just a little argument or whatever y'all had" I looked at her
"Delilah go find some better to do" I said putting everything I bought away
"Well I got nothing better to do but be in my big sister's business, so"
"Delilah seriously, I'm not telling you nothing" I told her, and she wouldn't give up.
"Katherine, can we order some to eat" I nodded, cause I was tired of cooking
"Sure order Pizza" She nodded grabbing the house phone and dialing the number.
"I'm going to take mommy out to the porch for a bit" I spoke
"That's so you can see your boo" Delilah smirked
"You know what, never mind" I said and sat on the couch
"I'm just playing with you, I looked outside and he's gone anyways" I shakes my head and walked upstairs, seeing my mom reading
"Want to go out?" She nodded, Sean grabbed her knitting stuff and followed us down the stairs to the porch
I sat her on the rocking chair, and Sean gave her, her things. A couple of his friends were in the front playing so he join them. I sat on the steps, as Hennessy and Delilah join me. It was Kinda chilly outside, being that's November it would always be cold but since the weather been bipolar lately, I won't complain.
"Look your boo looking at you" Delilah said pushing my shoulder, I rolled my eyes. Should've known that she was lying bout him leaving
"It's that necessary?" I asked her and she shrugged
"Facts Delilah, Stop bring the topic up if they mad at each other let them be" Hennessy said
"Who's mad at who?" My mom asked and we all looked back at her, I looked at Delilah who just smirk
"Anthony and Katherine aren't talking" I gave her a death stare, like seriously this girl can't mind her business.
"Why?" My mom asked looking at me
"No reason mom" and she hummed
The pizza delivery came, and Hennessy got up and payed it while Sean helped her. We headed inside, but my mom wanted to stay outside.
While we were eating, I heard talking outside knowing who would be.
"Hennessy ask mom if she wants any" She nodded
"She said later" I nodded while we sat in Silence eating our food.
"Can I go back outside ?" Sean said, putting his plate in the sink
"Sit for 5 minutes then you can go play" He nodded walking outside
Once Hennessy and Delilah finished they walked back outside, I put everything away. Putting the leftover pizza in the fridge and started to wash the dishes.
"Got any pizza left" I turned around and saw Anthony tanding against the kitchen wall, with low eyes.
"In the fridge" I pointed and he nodded getting the box out, after finishing the dishes. I put them away, cleaning the kitchen up a little.
"Want anything to drink?" I asked him, and he nodded
"Yes please" I got him some apple juice, and he took it thanking me after
After putting the juice away, I was about to head out until he stopped me.
"I'm sorry for ignoring you" he said
"It's fine" I said about to walk outside but he still stopped me
"I didn't really mean to, It's just my pettiness gets the best of me" I nodded
"I understand" I told him giving him a smile so he can let me go
"I feel like you still mad at me" he said
"I'm not, can you let me go?" I asked nicely and he finally did, I walked outside and a few minutes he join us, as my mom told us one of her many stories. It felt like old times, it was fall and it was getting cold again out. One of the many days I would never forget.
"Ma, I ain't know you were a savage savage" Anthony said who was sitting next to me On the porch
