"I seen you chilling at Katherine's house, what's up with that?" Alfredo asked leaning on a tree, looking at me

"Man, nothing it's up"

"Yeah whatever, so I heard that Paul force his sister to get an abortion" Anthony spit my water when he heard that

"That's fucked up" he said shaking his head and clean his lips

"Same thing I said, he's been wilding on her after what you said at the trap"

"Ain't my fault she was throwing her ass at me, so I catch it" Alfredo laughed shaking his head, and dapped him up

"Good one bro, So you trying to go to a party later this Friday" Anthony shrugged, cause he barely like going to parties unless it's his boys birthday or some

"Who's party?" He asked finish drinking his water

"Tito's, he having a block party and having bitches over" Anthony nodded

"I'll stop by"

The guys chilled at the park for little while before heading their different ways. While Anthony was driving around Katherine block, seeing Janet sitting on the porch knitting. I parked my car, and got out walking towards her.

"Hey, miss Janet" I said smiling sitting next to her

"H-hey Anthony" She said glancing at me with a genuine smile and continue knitting

"What are you making?" I asked curiously

"I'm making a blanket, w-would you like one I have a lot inside in a basket" She said and I nodded

"I'll love one" She smiled and called Katherine who was rolled her eyes once she saw Anthony

"C-can you get me the basket please" Katherine nodded and walked back inside, and Anthony just stared at her

"Don't stare too hard" Janet mumbled and Anthony chuckled nodding, Katherine came back with a basket full of knitted Blankets

"I'll take the red one" Anthony said grabbing it but Katherine stopped him

"That one it's mine" She said staring at him and he nodded grabbing a black one

"Thanks miss Janet"

"No problem" she smiled, Katherine walked back inside with the basket

"Have you ever gone to church?" Miss Janet asked me

"I have went a couple of times with my mom"

"What's your favorite gospel song?"

"Fill me up by Tasha Cobbs, my mom would always listen to it every Sunday"

"I l-love the song" She smiled "I believe it go-goes like.... You provide the fire, I'll provide the sacrifice"

"I believe the next line is.." I clear my throat before singing the next lines "You provide the spirit, I will open up inside" Katherine was watching them from a far, and she was actually happy that her mom was smiling and singing. She wiped the tear going down her face, and noticed the food was ready.

"W-wow, you have a beau-beautiful voice, one day in the name of god it will take you to places" She said smiling at Anthony

"Singing isn't really my thing" Anthony said chuckling

"You s-sure? Because one day I'll be seeing you in the Grammys or VMAs"

Anthony didn't know what to say, because someone that he just met recently was actually believing in him. It was scary but shocking.

"If y-you're interested in my daughter let me know" Janet said changing the topic stopping her knitting to look at Anthony, Janet doesn't like that Katherine would always turn down every boy, she didn't have a love life and that concern Janet cause she didn't want Katherine to stop everything for her or her sibling, even though she stopped studying Janet still encouraged her to go back but Katherine said it's fine but after she got to know him, he wasn't a bad person.

"I tried getting her number but she completely turned down the offer" Janet shake her

"Probably scared to trust a male again" She said and Anthony look at her nodded "Look you can try and get her to hang out"

"I'll try but I don't like the chasing" Janet nodded, and Katherine walked out again with a cup handing it to her mom

"Hey Katherine" she looked at Anthony "I was thinking if you wanted to do something Friday" he said rubbing his arm cause he was nervous

"N-"

"Katherine" Her mom cut her off, giving her a stare

"It's fine miss Janet" Anthony said smiling, getting up

"Fine, I'll go" Katherine gave in

"Alright great" He said smiling, they exchanged number and Anthony left

"It's wasn't that bad" Janet said with a smile

"Mom"

"He's a good kid, Kat" Katherine shakes her head walking in the house, as Delilah made her way home with her siblings running toward their mom
