"Enjoy your day off tomorrow honey" Ms. Johnson said "here take these for your siblings" she handed me a bag of bagels and muffins

"Thank you, have a great night Miss J" I smiled leaving the bakery, working here had been a good beginning my chapter. It was my first job, with actually clean money (let's say).

These past two weeks or so has been ok, I've been doing the same routine all over again which I'm used to. Past few months I've gotten used to seeing Anthony almost everyday but life happens I guess.

My household, has been so suspenseful. Everyone be doing whatever they have to do and barely talking to each other.

"Shut up Sean!!" Hennessy yell at him

"Don't tell me to shut up, the fuck you think you talking to" he said looking at her

"Excuse me" I spoke looking at them, Sean rolled his eyes grabbing his sweater and leaving. Hennessy sat on the table, with a sad expression on her face.

"What happen?" I sat next to her lifting her face to look at me

"He thinks like he can boss me around, In school he be treating me so different like at home" She looked up at me "I got jumped the other day at school, and he stood there watching me so he been annoying me that I could've defended myself and that I may a foul of myself... but it was three girls Kat" she cried, I notice the few scratches under her eyes.

"Hennessy why you ain't tell me?"

"You were working, and I don't want to worry you more than you already are" she wipe her tears "I just wish we were all close again"

"Imma go to the school tomorrow" she shake her head

"No, it's okay the principal suspended them already and I'm fine Kat" she gave me a weak smile

"And the principle ain't call me! My poor baby" I said hugging her

"I beg him not to"

"Tomorrow, I can pick you up at school and we can go to the movies"

"That sounds great, but after my school fashion show" she handed me an invitation

"I love that you joining school activities, so proud Hennessy" I smiled at her

"Thanks, imma go do homework" I nodded, I got up from the chair and clean around the house for a bit.

Delilah walked in the kitchen, high.

"Damn there's no juice" she said closing the fridge and looking at Me

"Hey" I said "Where you been?"

"With a couple of friends, umm tomorrow I'm going to party" I nodded

"But you didn-"

"I'm just letting you know"  she said walking upstairs

"I love love this Hennessy!" My fashion teacher spoke smiling at me "You got talent girl"

"Thanks, Mr. Caleb"

"Keep working girl because tonight will be your night" I nodded smiling, I'm so excited for tonight.

Joining this class has been the best thing I've done this year, and honestly nobody can stop me from succeeding my dreams. Mr. Caleb, has assign One of my classmates and I to do the spring collection fashion show for the school. I looked in my backpack, looking for my sketchbook of a new idea I got for the next collection.

I forgot it at home.

"Mr. Caleb, I forgot my sketchbook for the next collection" I said with a nervous smile

"You can show me after the show" I nodded

"Okay"

"Finish the few pieces you have, so you can go home and get ready for tonight"

"Alright"

I went back to fixing the few pieces with the help of my classmate Axel.

"Hey you coming to my fashion show?" I asked Delilah who was doing her hair in the bathroom

"You have a show?" She turned around looking surprised, like I didn't tell her a few days back

"Yeah, I've been told you"

"Nah, you probably told Sean because You never told me about this" I nodded

"It's fine" I said a little bit sad

After I got ready, I walked downstairs where Katherine stood.

"You ready?" She asked grabbing her stuff

"Yeah"

It would've been nice that Sean and Delilah would attend to my fashion show. It really would mean a lot to me, because it's something that I plan on doing for a living.

The closer we got to school the more nervous I became.

"You got this ok?" Katherine said encouraging me

"I appreciate you being here, imma go backstage and help them get ready" Katherine nodded

"Go ahead"

The show didn't begin until an hour or so, and Katherine insisted of coming early so she can get the best seats.

"One of the dresses don't fit a model" Axel said showing the model

"I think I can fix it"

"I took measurements already, we got fourth minutes" I nodded

"I'll be able to make it before then" I told him and he nodded giving me a smile

"Alright"

The audience applauded once the show was done and we all have given our speech.

"Wow wow, Hennessy that was amazing" Katherine said hugging me

"Thanks!" I smiled

"Hennessy" I turned around and saw Mr. Caleb "This is a good friend of mines Terry, you probably heard of his a designer for Teen Vogue magazine"

"The collection you and your peer make was beyond lovely, you have quite a talent" Terry smiled "I would love to arrange a meeting with you and Axel"

"Thank you, And sure" he nodded

"I'll give the information to Caleb, keep doing what you do" He smiled and left

"Did that just Happen?" Katherine ask excitedly "We have to celebrate"

"Oh my, I'm so excited" Today was one of the happiest day Ever, I have never smile this much since my mom passing but I believe that everything it's slowly falling in place for me.

What's crazy is, I'm just a freshman.
