So what song should we play?" Mark asked.

Ethan thought for a bit. he wanted to show people that he had grown as a person. Mark had helped him grow stronger and being together meant that Ethan felt loved as a person. He went to camp, terrified but then he opened up to Mark that he knew he could trust and things changed. Ethan began to make friends and true memories. It wasn't just so his mother could send him off for a few weeks anymore, it was a time to have fun. He had the best and most genuine kiss of his life with mark and Tyler would never compare.

"So I'm thinking, Say You Won't Let Go or Can't Help Falling in Love?" Mark questioned.

That made things a lot simpler. Ethan laughed

They had gone through a lot of songs that meant a lot to them and now Mark had narrowed it down to the two songs that they had chosen.

"I'd say Say You Won't Let Go," Ethan stated.

Mark nodded. "It really does represent us even if it's sung by someone much older than us."

Ethan laughed. "Yeah."

"I already know the song so all we need to do is get you to learn the lyrics," Mark said.

"I know the beginning of the song," Ethan said. "We just need to link it to the guitar."

"And learn the rest of the song." Mark pointed out.

"And learn the rest of the song." Ethan agreed.

Ethan gently held Mark's hand and smiled. He stared into his brown eyes, his red hair slightly covering one. Ethan pushed the strand away with his other hand.

"You've grown so much, Eth," Mark smiled. "At one point you were sobbing, the next you were terrified but now all I see is determination,"

"It's because of you," Ethan whispered. "I wouldn't have grown without you. I'd be sleeping if you weren't here."

Mark blushed and they stared into each other's eyes. They stayed like this for a little while before Mark said; "Say you won't let go."

Ethan knew what he meant. "I will never let go."

"I don't want camp to end. I might never see you again..." Mark whispered.

"Well then, let's fill this performance with the memories of us."

Mark smiled. "Let's do this!"

The two practiced for a few hours, laughing and joking. Ethan messed up a few times but Mark nodded encouragingly. He taught Ethan where and when to start singing. By the time they were finished for the night, Nate had gone upstairs and they hear laughs coming from their friends. They had perfected the chorus and were working on the first verse. Mark checked the time on his phone and laughed.

"It's one AM!"

"Jeez Mark! I didn't know time flew that fast!" Ethan laughed.

"We've been practicing for hours!" Mark giggled. "You did a beautiful job." He added as he packed his guitar into its case.

"You did too," Ethan whispered softly. "I messed up a lot."

Mark shook his head. "That's only because we were learning to be in sync with each other." He argued. "You learned the chorus in an hour!"

"Alright, whatever you say Markimoo," Ethan said. "But thanks."

The two headed upstairs holding hands.

"Hey look, it's the two lovebirds!" Nate teased.

"Yeah, yeah." Mark laughed.

"We heard you from up here, you are really good." Thomas commented."

"I know how to make it better." Mat said.

"Yeah, what?" Mark asked.

"You can both sing the chorus!"

"That's a great idea!" Ethan jumped in.

"I should probably add that I'm performing as well, or maybe not, I don't know." Thomas added.

"Well, Miles is out." Steph giggled.

"I just noticed that." Jess laughed.

Ethan glanced over at Miles. He was fast asleep, but upside down with his mouth hanging wide open and his arms resting on his stomach. Ethan laughed.

"We should go to bed as well." Jason yawned.

Mat nodded and Steph crawled into the cover with him. Nate shuffled around and Thomas seemed to be asleep in an instant. Ethan walked over to Kyan's bed and huddled into the sheets, waiting for Mark to join him. Mark pulled off his shirt and Ethan went bright red. Mark laughed as he got into bed with the blue-haired boy.

"You don't mind, do you?" Mark asked.

"No way, not at all." Ethan blushed, resting his head on Mark's bare chest.

"After the fight that day, I wonder if Tyler forgave Kyan." Ethan pondered. He heard a few shuffles from Jason's bed and the lights turned out.

"I mean, Tyler was going a bit too far, Kyan was just pointing it out." Mark mumbled.

"They probably talked it out." Ethan agreed. Mark rubbed his hand through Ethan's hair.

"You washed it?" Mark asked.

"Don't you?" Ethan joked.

Mark laughed. "Of course I do."

Ethan closed his eyes, breathing in Mark's soft scent.

"Goodnight, Mark," He whispered before falling asleep, Mark stroking his head.

Yeet, yeet, yeet. I really hope you enjoyed this! Also, I'm addicted to a band called Set it Off so that's what I've been listening to whilst writing that chapter XD. Alright, love ya'll and peace out!
