When I woke up Izuku was curled up and attached to my side, but I could smell something from the kitchen. I slowly unattached him so as not to wake him up and quietly crept into the kitchen and was met with a girl facing the stove making Onigiri. She was very tan and she wore a white button-up shirt tucked in the jeans that she wore, her red hair in a small braid, a leather cowgirl hat, brown boots, and an orange bandana wrapped tightly around her arm acting like a bandage. Her slight southern accent is what broke me out of my thoughts as she faced me with big yellow eyes,
"Y'all taking such good care of the 'master,' I thought I would make Y'all breakfast" she confirmed as Deku can bounding through the door and hugged her. "You know auntie Furuya's mad at you, Chinen." "I know partner, but I got attacked-" her eyes slowly wandered to the bandana "-and plus, it's a griffon's job to steal, you ain't stopping me there." Chinen beamed with pride at the word 'griffon' and put the Onigiri on a black porcelain plate. Her gold and emerald ring clinked against the plate.
Miyu Chinen
Tricky Hero: Griffon
Quirk: Nightmare: User takes the form of a shadow and cannot be seen or heard: Drawbacks: Has to be close to a person or big object.
Age: 298 (22)
"So I'm guessing you're a guardian of his." I gestured to Deku as he sat down and waited for her to put the plate down. Once she did she faced me with a smile, "I see my partner already told ya, but just for clarification, I am his second guardian." She took off her hat, placed it on her chest, and bowed, "The name's Chinen, but you can call me Miyu if ya want," I bowed slightly in response. She looked towards Deku as he started to dig into the Onigiri and smiled a sad smile.
"Ya know, he would love to go to Yuuei,"
I looked at her shocked and she chuckled sadly, "He talks about em' non-stop, he wishes he were a hero, especially with his Quirk." she cast her gaze to her hand and sighed. "If you'd consider taking him there, he would love it and I bet the other Pro Heroes would like him as well, after all, he is as sweet as candy, ya see." She looked at him once more before she stepped towards Deku and ruffled his hair. "I must be off, my part of town never sleeps and as a Pro Hero myself I must do what I can to help them." She glanced back at me and nodded and I nodded back in understanding, knowing what she wanted me to do. Like the wind, she vanished, gone into the shadows.
I sat down across from him, ready to tell him the news
(Time Skip)
"So I get to go to Yuuei for the day!"
He seemed to brighten with excitement "Yes and if you like it and don't have any troubles with the students or teachers I may consider enrolling you in the hero course." That, he jumped up at and his eyes seemed to have stars of curiosity and joy. "Really!" I nodded and found myself smiling along with him. "Now let's go to the mall, you didn't bring that many clothes with you."
He smiled and skipped to the door, with me not too far behind him and locked the door. We walked outside, into the busy city, and walked to the mall in comfortable silence. Once we made it I walked with him to a clothing store and told him to pick anything out that fit him.
"Are you sure?"
He asked with uncertainty and I nodded in reassurance. He started walking down the aisles and searched the racks for clothes of his size. I stood outside the store, waiting for him to finish.
Suddenly the ground started to shake as screams rang out in the mall. I got in my fighting stance and got ready as a large villain came into view. The villain looked like a shadow lion, a big one too, it was half the size of Mt. Lady. The thing looked my way and roared loudly but it sounded like a screech instead. It charged and I used my quirk to stop it but it didn't look affected. Of course it was a Mutant Quirk. I dodged left as it rushed towards me and it crashed into the fountain in the middle of the mall. My Quirk doesn't work on it so I'll have to wait for the pros, I thought bitterly, I didn't like others to do my job.
"Wow Aizawa-Kun, I thought you would've been fighting that thing."
I looked to my side as I saw Deku looking at the lion in panic. I grunted in response. "The thing isn't affected by my Quirk." "Still can't you fight it?" "Until back-up comes, no." I heard him take a shaky breath and let out a sigh of relief and I glanced at him. "What are you thinking kid?"
"He's the mastermind, the ring leader of this corrupted show, as The Poet would say, it's hard to know exactly what he's thinking"
A deep voice uttered from behind me and I turned my head and saw a girl taller than me, just barely. She wasn't tan but her skin was darker than the others. She wore a red sleeveless waistcoat, black dress pants, black heels, bright red lipstick, and her brown hair in a messy bun. She had diamond and sapphire bracelets, a ruby and pearl necklace, and gold and amethyst earrings. A gold belt hung around her waist with a large emerald right smack in the middle.
Daichi Kanno
Gem Hero: Fire Agate
Quirk: Shards: Ther user can bend and make gems and rocks into shapes. Drawbacks: Has to have enough body heat to make gems and bend them.
Age: 392 (24)
"I don't like others to do my work either, so let's get this over with."
She stated as her diamond bracelets took the form of a spider in the palm of her hand. "Normal is an illusion, what is normal to the spider is chaos to the fly: That is what The Poet tells us."
She quoted and placed the spider on the ground as it grew bigger and bigger until it was the same size as the lion. By then Pro Heroes were at the scene and so were reporters but I could care less about them. The diamond spider shot a gem-like silk at the shadow but it simply went through it. She cursed quietly under her breath and Deku scolded her for it. "You got a plan, Darling?" He seemed to think about it, "It can do exactly what a real spider can do, correct?" "Yeah, it can?"
"Make it spin a web and hold it to the light, the things a shadow after all Kanno." She looked like she was considering the odds until she smiled. "Let's do this!"
She started to grab random debris and turn them into diamond as it floated to the spider and it seemed to absorb it. Once it had enough it started to spin a web with its silk on the ceiling making the light shine through the diamonds. The lion screeched as it shrank to the same size as Deku. Daichi walked to it and petted it and it started to purr softly.
"The Devil asked me how I knew my ways around the halls of hell. I told him I did not need a map for the darkness I know so well: The Poet reminds us once again." She quoted once more as the shadow faded away and cheers from both heroes and civilians came. She looked tired and she collapsed on her knees in exhaustion. Deku and I rushed to her side and asked if she was okay.
"I'm fine, that last attack just took a lot more then I thought out of me."
She said and then immediately whimpered in pain as she held her head. She closed her eyes and then opened them after a few seconds. She glanced at me then Deku then over her shoulder at the pros and the reporters. The air around us had grown so calm that I had forgotten they were there. "They look like they want a story, just don't give them any names. Real names." Deku nodded frantically while I nodded with a bit of hesitance. She looked at me and smiled. "Don't take him out of your sites, he still is a little troublemaker, a mastermind or not." I looked her up and down then into her lime green eyes. I took a breath then released it.
"Okay, I promise," I added as her body seemed to start to shatter. "See you later, Midoriya."
And with that, we both started to get swarmed but for two different reasons. Izuku got swarmed by the media mainly asking him 'Are you a Pro Hero?' He's too young to be a pro hero. 'Is this your debut?' Still too young. 'How do you know Eraserhead?' he got asked that last one a lot. While he got swarmed by them I had the pro-heroes all around me.
"So this is the little hero! you're lucky Shouta, you got a kid that cooperates with you, mine seems to hate me!" Hizashi laughed and Midnight stepped forward. "Have you considered taking him to UA yet Shouta?" I looked at him but could barely see him through all of the reporters so I looked back at Nemuri.
"Yeah, expect to see him on Monday."
Now, to remember where I've heard the name 'The Poet' before...
