"It's finally the last battle of the U.A. High Scholl sports festival!" I was snapped back from my mind at the loud yelling. "The top of the first years will be decided with this one match! The final, so to speak!" I looked at the two on the field, focus on the fight, 'Did you... enjoy fighting?'  "From the hero course, Shoto Todoroki!" '...no, I've always hated it.' "Versus-- Also from the hero course, Katsuki Bakugou! Now-" The two looked serious "Start!"

Shoto slammed his hand on the ground and a huge wall of ice sprouted from under his hand. Katsuki countered it with a barrage of explosions to keep the ice from reaching him. The ice eventually surrounded him and half the arena was now covered in ice, it went up over the open dome. I couldn't hold my yawn this time, it was cold and this tracksuit didn't have long sleeves. "Todoroki gets a blow in right away! Is he trying to avoid close combat with Bakugou? Has the winner been decided already?!" Of course not, a little cold wasn't gonna stop Katsuki. As long as he can sweat then he can attack. The ice shook, it sounded like thundering footsteps and it sent a shiver down my spine making me colder than I already was. I pushed Iida's glasses up my nose. It grew louder and louder until the ice around him was destroyed and Katsuki was standing in the middle of it, in back of him was a tunnel that he most likely created with his Quirk to escape. Shoto jumped back as his ice came flying towards him and Katsuki gripped the edges of his man-made hole. He blasted himself out to meet Shoto's running start. Shoto reached out to grab him but Katsuki used an explosion to invade it, he grabbed his left side, one hand on his shoulder and the other gripping his face.

He flipped so he was behind Shoto and his feet hit the ground and he used an explosion to send him away from him. Shoto created a wave of ice behind him before he went any further. It curved so he didn't reach the edge of the arena and he started surfing, "He avoids going out of bounds with a wall of ice! Looks like fun!" I had to admit if the cold wasn't part of the drawback of my Quirk I'd go surfing on a wall of ice. Shoto circled Katsuki and inclosed him, you'd think because of how high our box was we should've been able to see what was going on but we couldn't. Maybe the others could but Iida's glasses started to fog up from the frost of the newly made ice. Katsuki was flipped across the ring of ice and I pulled Iida's glasses off to let the frost dissolve off the lenses. I slid them back on and waited for everything to focus. "With the way he grabbed Todoroki's left side on purpose and timed his explosions... He's been doing his research. That kid's abilities shine every time he fights." "I see." He's Katsuki Bakugou, the third smartest in the class, I'm not sure when he's not doing research. Maybe when he's hanging out with Eijiro but even then he's probably researching where their next date should be. They were a sickly sweet couple, middle school sweethearts. I feel bad for Izuku because he had to put up with the two of them for the first few months of their relationship. I couldn't even begin to imagine being apart of one. The amount of trust you have to build up to even get to that point was god-awful, I couldn't even trust myself! (Insert the 'trust nobody not even yourself' meme)

"Todoroki's moving well, too, but his attacks are too simple. Ever since his match with Midoriya, he's lost his touch."

I realized later that this wasn't as funny to the people that didn't know of the conversation between Shoto and me but that didn't stop me from giggling uncontrollably. I stopped when Katsuki ran at Shoto and he just stood there, staring. It was like whenever I had a staring contest with the spider in the corner of Aoyama's room. The frost on Shoto's arm was growing.

"Todoroki!"

I startled and almost fell out of my seat when Izuku stood up suddenly a few seats down. He was next to Ochako who also looked up in shock at the shout, "Don't lose! Do your best!" I nodded and looked forward stiffly, my lips forced into a straight line, "Facts, motherfuckers, facts." Izuku was so quiet I didn't even know when he got back from Recovery Girl's. Katsuki shot himself into the sky with more explosions and the frost on Shoto's arm started evaporating until he looked up. His left side burst into flames, I could feel the energy. Energy, energy, energy, energy! It was empowering! Cold may have been part of my drawback but I couldn't say the same about warmer climates. Katsuki made a tornado of black smoke around him from his Quirk and dove towards Shoto who had his fire-lit hand out. But there was no more fire as he regretfully brought his hand back and the fire disbanded. Katsuki didn't stop, I don't think he could when he was so high in the air. His hand reached out and touched Shoto's ice. The smoke exploded and the bang that followed was deafening as it covered the entire arena, "He added momentum and rotation to the huge blast he showed us in his fight with Uraraka! He was like a human projectile!" The hot air was blasted outwards and I relaxed against the hot temperature, I brought my hand up to my ear. I made a happy sound in the back of my throat when I realized I could still hear. "It looks like Todoroki didn't fire off the huge blast he used in his match with Midoriya, but the winner is--" The smoke cleared enough for us to see Katsuki laying on his stomach while Shoto did look more elegant sitting on his ice. It took me a few seconds to realize he was passed out. Katsuki struggled to his feet and he leaned against Shoto's ice. Midnight raised her hand.
