When we got home from school I dragged Aoyama to the back of the house after we dropped our bags off inside. My pains were already gone though I knew my body wasn't going to be fully healed for a while. The day had been uneventful, we only heard about Monoma during class from Eijiro. Moving on, Aoyama stood in front of me as we both got in a fighting stance. Mind you though we had trained together we both had very different fighting techniques due to the nature of our Quirks. Our stances were fairly the same but as soon as we started to fight, we both strayed farther away from each other. I had learned how to use my size and weight to my advantage and when it came to flexibility, I was a master at freaking people out. Aoyama had learned the best ways to not throw up while in battle. He had also learned how to control the stream of his laser to make it thin and thicker, the thin beam was the most dangerous. What we both learned was how to fight back to back, how to switch spots to block each other and how to communicate during fights and practice. I'd work with Aoyama's additional 'Quirk' but I don't think he'll ever need to summon me, I'll always be by his side.
Aoyama hunched in front of me as I panted softly, strangely enough, not that tired. But I also didn't use my Quirk that often during our training. I wiped my forehead with the back of my hand and approached him, "You ready to call it a day?" The sun was still up but I felt like sleeping forever despite not being overworked. "We still need to sleep and food is still a big thing that you need. Not to mention that we still have homework to do." He groaned and I snickered. "Why can't we just eat and sleep?" "Hey, at least you have me to help you with your work," I felt a tug at the back of my mind and I briefly brought my hand to the front of my neck. Us, right. I motioned him inside and he groaned but followed, "Get your work out while I fix you a snack." After he grabbed his bag from the couch he sat down at the dinner table and slumped in his seat. When I walked into the kitchen I wasn't at all surprised to see someone else already leaning against the counter. I knew the second I felt her pull she was gonna pay a visit. I was just surprised she didn't do it earlier.
"Why don't you go sit down and help him while I make the snack." I looked at her and grinned then made my way to the fridge, "You know very well that you can't touch solid items, Akasuki."
Shiori Akasuki
The Poet
Quirk: Shock Step: Wherever she steps there is a color-coordinated tile on the floor and she steps on it and it produces electricity. Drawback: Her Quirk was never registered so it has not been said as to what the drawback is though it has been suspected to be the same as Color Tiles because of how similar the two are. Almost exact replicas.
Age: 24 (20)
She spread her arms out, her white hair falling on her shoulders. "Education is more important than food!" I opened the fridge door and looked at the contents, I'll do a grocery run with her later. "That's because you're dead, you can't eat." I pointed out and she held her chest, "A low blow even for you, kiddo!" I chuckled and grabbed the block of cheese and grabbed a knife from its case. I started slicing them into cubes, "There's some goldfish in the cabinet above you." She pointed out but I didn't stop cutting, "What do you think we are? Children?" I opened the cabinet she was talking about, "But, thank you." The goldfish she was talking about was in a small carton, just enough for the two of us, unless Aoyama chose to eat them all by himself. Which I would be fine with. I didn't need a lot of food. I finished chopping the cheese and put it back in the fridge and put the knife in the sink. I grabbed a paper plate and loaded my cheese cubes and goldfish on it. Akasuki followed me out of the kitchen but I didn't mind, she wouldn't be able to do anything anyway. People could feel her presence if she touches them, yes, but she couldn't be seen unless she wanted to be seen. But she needed a lot of energy to do so. She also couldn't touch anything that didn't belong to her which doesn't apply here because this is her house.
Aoyama looked up from where he sat, chewing on his pencil eraser. I placed the plate in front of him and walked around the table so I was sat next to him, I grabbed the second pencil he grabbed for me and started helping him with his math since he was failing. Akasuki helped me from time to time when even I got stuck on a few problems. Going to university and graduating early because you're that smart has its perks sometimes. She had to read me multiple of the questions because the words were too small so it sometimes took a few seconds for me to reply back. My eyesight's been getting worse and worse and I fucking hated it. I think Akasuki got dirt in her eyes when I emerged.
We soon finished Aoyama's homework and our snacks, he ate all the cheese and I ate about five goldfish, and I started getting ready for bed. "It's not even six o'clock yet." He said when I told him but he knows how much sleep I need before I even feel ready to get up. Akasuki sometimes has to wake me up with her shocks because I wouldn't wake up when Aoyama tried. We had a sort of odd relationship, while she was more of a parental figure I was more of a sibling to Aoyama. Together we made up his family, as weird as that sounded. We wouldn't have it any other way except for the fact that she's a demon that follows me around literally everywhere but I'll overlook that fact for Aoyama.
We always overlooked things for him to make sure he's happy. If he wasn't happy then I'm breaking my promise to Akasuki and a Higashi never breaks their promise.
