Chapter 13

~After School~

I walked into the door and no one was there. I looked for a note and didn't find one. Then I remembered that I turned my phone off after lunch. I turned my phone back on I had a couple notifications from twitter and seven new text. Four were from numbers I haven't see and the other three was from Jake. I looked at Jake text first 'I gave the guys your number is that okay?' 'we have surprise for you' 'we won't be there when you get home having to pick up something' I laughed reading his text and checked the other four the first one was from Andy 'don't read any of Jake's texts, but we won't be home when you get home. P.S this is Andy' 'Okay...' I thought to myself I checked the other and saved their contact. I went to my room and laid on my bed. I laid there of almost for a hour before my phone was going off.

It was Ashley I answered "hello?"

"hey Dakota are you in your room?"

"yea..."

"Okay I want you to stay up there no matter what noise you hear okay?"

"Okay I don't know that I like you five planning something."

"It will be alright okay."

"Whatever you say"

"I have to help them bye" with that he hung up I hear the front door open. I knew it was the guys, it sounded like they were struggling with something. Whatever they were struggling went into the room Ashley was staying in. They went back outside and dropped something else in Ashley's room again. They stayed in there for a moment and then went back outside and again struggling with something, but this time they took it to Jake's and Jinxx's room. After they were done in there I didn't hear any struggling but I heard plastic grocery bags and a lot of them. 'Great they bought me groceries' I knew there wasn't every many but they didn't have to go buy them.

I heard a thud come from were the guys were. I don't know if they were trying to be quiet but they were failing. I laughed when I heard screaming from CC saying that he could be a grocery bag ninja. I wonder what they were doing and what all did they buy. I stop ease-dropping and put in my headphones and laid back down on my bed.

I woke up to all the guys in my room yelling Happy Birthday. I checked the time to see that I was only asleep for a hour it felt like forever. I sat up in my bed "I thought you guys forgot my birthday."

"We never forget birthday to a close friend." and said while giving me a hug.

"I am a close friend?" I said looking at all their faces. They all nodded. I hugged them all and got off the bed. "Do you want to the surprises?" Jake said jumping up and down. "Sure, Oh CC how is your grocery bag ninja skills coming along." I looked over to see CC doing some weird karate stance. We all laughed at him.

The guys said I had to follow them and close me eyes. I felt a hand on my shoulder to guide me through the hall our first stop was was Ashley's room there was another bed in there. I was puzzled then Andy spoke "No offense your couch bed was so uncomfortable, so I asked Ash if I could room with him. "I know Jake asked if we could live with you, but I could not sleep in that bed again."

"Okay enough chit chat next surprise." Jake said. He was so excited it was so cute. I re-covered my eyes and we were in Jake and Jinxx room and the bunk bed was still in there and there was another bed in there too. I knew why they put another bed in there. They covered my eyes this time we didn't go to the last bedroom. Apparently no one wanted to share a room with CC.

We kept walking until I think we were in the kitchen. I heard movement and them whispering but didn't know what they were doing. The hands that were covering my eyes moved I opened them to see all the cabinets opened and they have been almost filled with food. In one cabinets I noticed there was boxes of hot chocolate and coffee. After looking at all the stuff in the cabinets, I looked at the guys who were satnding around the counters. I went to speak but was quickly cut off by Jake saying "I know what you are going to say that we didn't need to do that but we did anyway," I just went over and hugged them all. It was like the first time since my parents started leaving I accutally have a family and don't have to work as hard to do everything.
