elle -a few hours later-
"you look so drugged out." bri laughs as she walks in the room. i smile covering my face.
"i am." i say. she laughs.
"how are doing?" she asks.
"the doctor said theyll most likely be born within the next hour or so." i say with a yawn.
"that soon?" she asks. i nod.
"the urge is there though." i say.
"to push?" she asks. i nod again.
"well don't start when i'm in here." she says. i laugh.
"i won't." i say.
"hayes asked me if you were in pain on the way to the hospital. i said not a lot. and he said he didn't wanna have kids if i was gonna be in pain." she says. i smile.
"that's sweet." i say looking at her. she nods.
"he makes me feel warm and fuzzy." she says. Jack laughs. bri flips him off.
"can you hand me my water?" i ask bri, pointing to the water bottle. she grabs it and hands it to me. i carefully sit up and take a drink. i then set it next to me.
"how are you feeling babe?" Jack asks.
"i wanna get the out." i say with a sigh.
"do you wanna call the doctor?" he asks. i nod and press the little button.
"oh god i'm leaving." bri says. i laugh. she leans down and gives me a hug.
"ok. love you. Jack let us know when they have arrived. goodbye." she says and i laugh. she waves and walks out of the room. i sigh.
"in about an hour or so we'll be a family of 5." Jack says with a small laugh. i nod.
"don't remind me." i say. he smiles and shakes his head. there's a knock on the door and then the doctor walks in.
"ready?" she asks and i nod.
"let's check you and then we'll get everything set up." she says. i nod again. a few nurses walk in a little bit after her with supplies. Jack scoots his chair of to the bed and i laugh. he smiles and grabs my hand. the doctor quickly checks me and smiles.
"let's get these girls here shall we?"
—45 minutes later—
"here's our last one!" the doctor exclaims, holding the baby above the little tarp. i smile tiredly. Jack smiles as well, kissing my back of my hand, leaving my hand to his lips.
"is this one emma?" she asks, handing her off to the nurse. i nod. emma starts to cry and that's when i basically lose it.
"ok. they're gonna go to the nicu and your gonna get cleaned up alright?" the doctor says. i nod and watch the wheel the babies out.
"when do we get to see them?" i ask.
"well, we're gonna run a couple of tests on them and monitor their breathing and everything like that. i'll say it's gonna be a few hours. 6 maybe 7." she says. i sigh and nod. she walks to the side of the bed as the nurses clean me up.
"they looked very healthy elle. you have nothing to worry about." she says. i nod. she congratulated us and then walks out. i look at Jack.
"we're 5 now." i say. he laughs and nods, giving me a kiss.
"and i wouldn't have it any other way." he says with a smile. i roll my eyes and smile
"your cheesy."
