*Sherlock POV*

The door opens suddenly, scaring me. I immediately move to hide the fact that I put the morphine back in.

"You get out today, this is the last time I should see you Mr. Holmes. How is everything feeling?"

"I'm fine. Are they here yet?"

"Yes. Your husband is checking you out right now."

"Can I get up now?"

"Not until they get here, you may need support walking."

I groan and lie back, still hiding the morphine from her view. She starts unhooking me from the wires, helping me sit up so she can check my back and torso.

"How does this feel?"

She presses lightly on my ribs, the bruised ones. I yelp suddenly, when she hits the worst part of the injury.

"How badly did that hurt?"

"It hurt."

"Stand up for me."

I stand slowly, grimacing when I stretch my side out.

"Does this hurt?"

She pulls my arm out to the side, stretching my side slightly. I wince when I inhale sharply, breathing still hurts.

"Yeah, a little."

Speaking is difficult until she lets go of my arm, apologising when she realizes how much pain I am in.

"Can you walk?"

"Logicaly."

"Walk across the room for me please."

"What are we trying to acomplish?"

"I am required to check eveything over before we can release you."

"Fine."

My voice is pain filled and tight, betraying the blank expression I put on my face. I slowly walk across the room and back, tile cold beneath my bare feet.

"Your balance seems to be fine."

"Obviously."

The pain seems to settle again when I stop moving, as does the spinning in my head.

"How does your head feel?"

"I am fine! Let me out now."

"You need to calm down Mr. Holmes. I am required to complete this examination before you are allowed to leave."

"Then hurry up with it."

"Just a few more questions."

"Fine."

"How does your head feel?"

"Fine. It feels fine."

"Any confusion? Nausea? Sight or hearing issues?"

"No, no, no, and no. Are we done here?"

"Yes, you can leave as soon as someone brings you your clothes."

The door opens again, John steps through quietly.

"Do...should I leave?"

"No sir. He is free to go now, just as soon as he gets dressed."

"Yeah, sure. Thanks."

She leaves, brushing against John on the way out.

"How are you feeling?"
