*William POV*
"You two stay here with Greg, I'm going to take them back to the house."
"Are we coming home too?"
I much Hamish under the table, glaring at him to shut up. He winces, rubbing his leg.
"No. You two are spending another couple of nights here with us. Come say goodbye, then you two need to come back and finish your dinner."
We hop down from the table, running to the back room.
"You two are staying here with Uncle Mike and Greg. They are going to drop you off at the house in a few days, I'm taking Sherlock home tonight. We need a few days to settle in before you come back. Okay?"
I shrug, glaring at Hamish when he starts crying. Papa hugs us both, walking out to the car with his bags.
"I love you two. Ill see you in a few days, be good."
Daddy gives us each a hug as well, starting to cry a little bit as he pulls away. Uncle Mike leaves, telling Hamish and I to go finish eating. We sit in silence at the table with Mr. Greg, though he does try to make conversation a few times.
"Its time for bed, do you want me to walk you back?"
"No thank you. We're fine."
He leaves, switching off the light and shutting the door quietly behind him. I wait about ten minutes before slipping out of the room, grabbing my sketchbook from my bag. Mr. Greg is in his room, the light is still on. I walk past the door silently, slipping into the library and sitting against the door. Hamish fell asleep rather quickly, tired out from crying, so it wasn't difficult for me to leave the room. The cord phone in the room rings suddenly, I crouch behind the book case for a few minutes. No one comes to answer it, so I slowly stand and make my way over to pick it up.
"Hello?"
"Hello William."
The voice on the other end sounds familiar, I have heard it before.
"Is anyone else awake?"
"Who is this?"
"You're a smart one, aren't you?"
"Who is this? I'm going to hang up if you dont tell me."
"I wouldn't do that if I were you."
Its Moriarty, he said the same thing to Papa. I slam the phone back down, scooping up my book and running out of the room.
"What are you doing? William?"
"He just called the cord phone."
"Calm down, come sit down."
Mr. Greg makes me sit on the bed, kneeling in front of me.
"What happened Will?"
"He called the cord phone in the library."
"Who did?"
"Moriarty."
"Why were you up?"
"I couldn't sleep. What are we going to do?"
"Go back to bed. Ill talk to Myc when he gets home."
"What about us? What do we do until he gets back?"
"Just go to bed, its okay. I'm going to call Mycroft and see what's going on, relax."
"Okay."
I slowly walk back to the room, locking the door behind me. Hamish is still sleeping, curled comfortably under the blankets. It is almost an hour later when someone tries to come into the room, knocking lightly after trying the handle. I jump up, sliding across the hardwood on my sock-clad feet. Uncle Mike is standing on the other side, looking slightly worried until he sees that Hamish is in here with me.
"What happened?"
"He called the cord phone, so I answered it. I...I didn't know it was him until he started talking."
"What did he say to you?"
"I said I was going to hang up and he said that I shouldn't do that. I hung it up as soon as I realized it was him, and ran into the other room. What's going on? Is everyone okay?"
"Everyone is fine right now. Don't answer the cord phone again. Go back to bed, and keep this door unlocked."
"Okay."
He turns, leaving me alone with Hamish. I lie back down, wrapping daddy's coat around me. Its big, so I am lost in the fabric. This helps me calm down enough to sleep, so I set my sketchbook down and lie back completely. I check on Hamish one last time before falling asleep; he is smiling slightly, something he doesn't often do while sleeping.
