*Sherlock POV*

"Come lie down, you need to get some sleep."

John helps me up the stairs, arm wrapped around my waist to steady me. By the time we get upstairs, I am out of breath.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I'm fine."

We walk slowly towards the bedroom, neither one of us is completely comfortable in there anymore. John grabs my hand when I start shaking, rubbing circles on my skin.

"Its okay."

I nod, and we walk into the room. As soon as we get to the bed, I pull John down with me, arms wrapped around his waist.

"What're you doing?"

"Come here."

He laughs cheerfully, letting me pull him closer. I kiss him lightly, smiling when he pushes me back against the bed.

"Oww. Careful."

"Sorry."

He shifts his weight mostly off of me, still lying against my good side. My breathing increases when he does this, worrying him.

"Hey, we don't have to do anything if you don't want to."

"I'm sorry."

"Its okay. I don't want to scare you again."

John pulls back, sitting up and looking down at me. I pull him back down, lying my head against his chest. He takes my hand in his, running his other through my hair.

"You're okay, relax."

"I'm sorry."

"Don't cry Sherlock, its not your fault."

He lets go of my hand, wiping the tears off of my face.

"Calm down, breathe. You're okay, I'm right here."

I'm still shaking, though the panic does subside quickly.

"Are you cold?"

He starts laughing when I sit up, realizing I still don't have a shirt on.

"A little."

"Do you want me to grab you a shirt?"

"No."

I lie back down, pulling him to lie on top of me.

"Does this hurt you at all?"

"No."

He relaxes against me, taking my hand again. Slowly, I forget about the cold and am able to fall asleep. I wake suddenly, breathing heavily. John is still lying on me, waking when I start struggling to sit up.

"What's wrong Sherlock? Calm down, let me help you."

I let him help me up, leaning against the headboard.

"Sherlock? What happened?"

"I...I'm not sure. Its fine."

"Do you need to get up?"

"No. Go back to sleep, I'm okay. I just need to think."

"Wake me up if you need me."

"Yeah."

"Sherlock?"

"Hmm?"

"What's wrong?"

I don't want to tell him what's going on, not yet.
