15 → "THEY'RE NOT WHO THEY SAY THEY ARE"

A good forty minutes seem to pass, and Adeline begins to grow bored. Nobody has come back yet. She starts to look around the room, until she realises that Doctor Crawford has left a file placed on the counter by the door. She stops by the counter, momentarily peering up at the door, before she begins to flip the folder open. On the front, is a file with her name. Her picture. Something that stated "partial immunity". There's a description of her time back in the Maze, a single sheet of documentation about her blood test results.

Second blood test taken. Results show that subject has a promising amount of the enzyme in her blood. Is being sent to the eastern wing this evening for harvesting alongside the others.

Adeline feels sick as she reads those words. Is being sent to the east wing this evening for harvesting. Dropping the folder, it's contents scattering on the floor, she back away. Thomas was right to be buggin' paranoid. She tries to get to the door, tries to open it, but it won't budge, obviously won't unlock without a keycard so she can't escape on them.

Outside, there's the sudden blaring of alarms, and Adeline stands there feeling lost, confused and terrified. Because, the moment the Doctor gets back, she's going to be sedated and sent to that wing. I gotta get outta here, but I'm locked in! Slamming her palm against the door in discouragement, she paces back and forth in a panic. But, then from behind her, she hears the sound of shouting and commotion in the room on the other side of hers, the one where the window behind her sees straight into it. Swiveling around on both feet, she notices the group. There's Thomas holding up a gun at the Doctors on the other side, and the privacy curtain for the room is closed. Thomas runs over, yanking it back. She hadn't known it till now, having not had the chance to look through the window, but Teresa lays curled up on the hospital bed, hooked up to a machine supplying oxygen through nasal prongs in her nose. Adeline can't hear what the others are saying, and Newt flips a table over, shoving it against the door. Running up to the window, Adeline smacks her hand against it repeatedly.

"Hey!" She screams. "Guys! It's me! Help!"

Their gazes shift to the window, and Newt rushes towards it. He places his hand on the glass. Tells Adeline to hold on. The others step back, Adeline realising that there's people attempting to shove open the door that is being held closed by the table. She watches as Thomas says something, then grasps a chair and begins to whack it against the window. Then, he says something to Newt that is barely audible from her side, and she can just make out Thomas telling her to stand back. Both appear at the window with two stools.

They're going to break the window.

Both Thomas and Newt smack the glass and the window shatters into a millions shards. Thomas uses his chair to wipe away the remaining shards of glass. Adeline steps back as the glass window caves inwards and breaks into million of shards on her side of the window. Newt steps back as soon as it breaks, clambering into the room she's in, pulling her into a tight hug, which she returns. The others behind begin to clamber over the now frame of the window into the room she'd been locked in. Thomas helps Teresa over while Minho guards the others with a gun so they can get on the other side, before tossing it to Thomas. Thomas rushes toward the door, flinging it open, before coming to a halt. As they appear at the door frame, they come face to face with another man. But, in a split second, Thomas reacts and suddenly a grenade of electricity shoots up the man's body, taking them all off guard as the man stumbles backwards and skids on the ground, jerking and spasming.
