You followed Saiki through the halls of the school. For some reason he wasn't arguing with you today, and you wondered why that was. In fact, he hasn't said a word to you! Is he ignoring me? That's low.

"Hey! Saiki! Are you up for a super awesome soccer match after school?!"
"No."
"Awe, c'mon, man! Where's your spirit?!"

The boy speaking to Saiki was very loud and so pumped he was sweating just thinking about the intense game he had in mind. He was actually kind of cute. He's so excited it's almost adorable!
"I'm not good at sports," you chimed in. "But I wouldn't mind participating in a friendly soccer game!" You knew the male as Hairo, your class rep. You just never had the chance to really speak to him until now. Hiro turned to you and so did Saiki, only the pinkette looked rather annoyed. There was something off about him as he watched Hairo and you begin a conversation.
"Cool hair by the way," you said and pointed to his spiked red hair. You couldn't help but wonder how much hair gel he went through in a week. "Thanks! Hey you're the new girl right? (l/n)?" "That's me!" You said gleefully.
"Awesome name! I'm Hairo! Have you played soccer before?" You scratched the back of your neck nervously. If he knew it had been heard since you played, he might not give you much field time. But you wanted to make more friends than just Saiki, who happened to be pretty much just a jerk. But of course you knew he had a sweet side to him, one that he kept hidden until something triggered it. He acted like a dick but he was really a sweetheart with good intentions.

"I was on a peewee team when I was little."
"So you have experience!" Hairo put a hand on the top of your head. It was pretty easy for him since you were pretty short. He beamed at you with a wonderfully large and sincere smile and ruffled your hair, enticing a giggle from your soft lips. Meanwhile...

(Saiki)
Adorable? What the hell? Absolutely not. Hairo is obnoxious and over the top. Forget about the stupid game. We have work to do after school! Saiki stood with crossed arms and a shadow casting over most of his face as he glared daggers behind the lenses of his glasses. Get your hand off her. Your giggling pierced the boy right in the heart, both in a good way and a bad way. The more you and Hairo smiled and talked, the more frustrated Saiki became. He felt like whatever had pierced his heart was now digging its way deeper and deeper like a power drill.

He could hear Hairo's thoughts, "(l/n) is pretty cute. I've seen her skipping and bouncing around the halls. She's always smiling and letting herself have a good time! I wonder if she'd go to see a game with me some time!" At that moment, something clicked inside of your friend that nearly caused him to send the class rep flying out the nearest window. A date? Hell no.

"(L/n), we have a project due soon remember?"
"Of course I remember. I'll come over after some soccer, alright?" You gave him a smile and turned back to Hairo, "I'll meet you by the gym after school!"

Saiki was in his room laying on his bed too pissed to do anything but rant to himself about your ditching him to hang out with Hairo. But it wasn't you he was really mad at so much as the spiky haired enthusiast who took your attention off of him. "I can't believe she ditched me for a soccer game! Stupid Hairo... why did that moron have to show up and ruin everything? More importantly; why am I so angry?" I need to calm down. Intense emotions won't result in anything good. But she just makes me so outraged. I want her here, and that's all I know right now. I just wish she would appear right in front of me.

His mind wandered to a daydream of you walking into his door very late at night and apologizing frantically for being out for so long.
"Saiki~ I'm so sorry! I'm late, and it wasn't even worth it. I didn't have nearly as much fun as I would have had if I had just gone with you after school." You would be in his doorway with a big frown on your face as you would scurry over after closing the door. "It's fine. But we have work to do so let's drop it."
"I can't! I-I don't want to do any work on the project tonight. I'd rather hang out with you."
Saiki's fantasy~~ *ends*
