(Your POV)
You sat at your desk in your room, trying to focus on your homework and block out the suggestion Saiki made last week. He overheard your thoughts regarding the love triangle you'd found your way into, and he heard that you weren't keen on the idea of breaking Hairo's heart. He told you to be selfish for once... but being selfish wasn't easy when you were an empath who could only detect negative feelings.

You were obsessing over it.

You wanted to be selfish, but it wouldn't be easy. You set your pencil down and let out a loud, dramatic groan in disapproval of the flurry of thoughts creating static in your head. You rubbed your temples in frustration and squeezed your eyes shut. It was clear you weren't going to get any homework done tonight. You'd never actually been deliberately selfish like Saiki suggested of you. Sure you'd decided to spoil yourself here and there, but if you could be selfless you tried to be.

"Jesus, it isn't that hard," Saiki's voice said from behind you. You jumped out of your chair and turned to face him with a shout, "When the hell did you get here?!"
"As soon as your over-complications got to my head too."
You sighed, "Sorry. I just really don't know what to do here."
"It's fairly self explanatory," he said quickly, "you be the opposite of selfless."
You rolled your eyes, "That doesn't help me at all, Ku."

He shrugged nonchalantly and sat on your bed.
"Well let's start easy. Hairo isn't here right?"
You nodded. He raised a brow, "Then get over here." He wasn't asking. Somehow Saiki was managing to show affection and still be tsundere. That should be impossible but apparently you were mistaken. You walked over to him silently, a small smile on your face as you sat beside him and waited for him to do something. Saiki stared at you through the green lenses of his glasses and didn't say anything. You began to sweat a little. "What's happening?" Saiki kept his eyes on you, "That's for you to decide. Pretend Hairo is right over in that chair hanging out with us." You looked to the chair by your desk, unamused. Was this the best he could come up with? "You're not serious... right?" He didn't say anything. He was dead serious. "You and I both know we want a relationship. But you can't do that without feeling less guilty." You could have sworn you felt a hint of something warm in your heart, something unfamiliar yet all the while familiar. It wasn't your feelings for Saiki... you knew what yours felt like. And they were causing you to blush as you gently leaned against him, and he put his arm around you.
You shook your head and pulled away from him, and he gave you a confused look.
"I guess I have a vivid imagination..."

The pinkette sighed and laid down on your bed. You could tell he was trying to be patient with you, mostly because he wanted to show you he could be understanding towards your predicament. Which was how timid you were towards the idea of breaking someone's heart. He clearly recognized that your empathic powers were going to make some things difficult; things like breaking your best friend's heart.

"Sorry, Saiki."
He looked at you, "No don't be. I understand. You're an empath so it's not like you can help it."

You sat on the edge of the bed by his feet, and looked at the empty chair. You knew you wanted to be with Saiki. Not Hairo. You wished you could just be selfish for once... especially now. You hesitated before laying down beside Saiki, and much to your surprise he actually rolled to face you and pulled you close with powerful arms. He wasn't built like that, but his powers gave him a lot of strength. You felt very safe with him. You blushed softly and let him hold you. He was putting an effort into this too. A tsundere being affectionate like this? It must be hard for him since he was one way for so long...

"Hey, (Y/n)..."
Yeah?
"Not for nothing, but I guess I wouldn't mind if we did something like this more often."
... you smiled. I would like that.
"I also wouldn't mind if we did more... intimate things."
Woah slow down buddy.
"Not like that."

You looked at him curiously before feeling yourself absent of gravity. You were floating now, out of Saiki's arms and just above him. His eyes met yours, and you grinned down at him, enticing a smile from him as well. You gasped at the sight and exclaimed, "Saiki! You're smiling!" He chuckled, "Shut up." You felt your weightless form being moved down just enough for his lips to meet yours, and with no hesitation at all, the two of you were engaging in a sweet lip-lock. You had to admit, you quite liked this side of Saiki. You always enjoyed when he got playful. Especially since it was a side of him that only you had ever seen, and that made you feel very special. Kissing Saiki helped you forget about everything that bothered you. Hairo who? You were focused on one person only at the moment and that was this pink-haired, coffee jelly loving tsundere right here.

You really did want to learn how to be selfish. You wanted to enjoy showing acts of affection in public, if Saiki was okay with it. You wanted to be able to hold his hand without feeling guilty, and to flirt with him openly and just have a good time all the way around. But you couldn't do that if you let other people's feelings rule and dictate your own feelings. No one could truly be happy like that.

When you and Saiki (reluctantly) broke the kiss, then looked at one another. He smiled up at you with a knowing look on his face. He must have heard your epiphany. That little weasel... he was trying to spark an epiphany wasn't he? How clever of him.
"Okay~ alright I understand. My happiness matters." You said, and he nodded. You looked down at your unofficially-official boyfriend and asked him kindly to let you down now, as you were still hovering due to his psychic powers. He denied you. You squirmed in the air, "Saikiiii set me down!" His taundere look came back now. "No. Stop whining. It's amusing to me." You pouted.
"Saiki!"
"No."
"Please?" You said this one word with as much sweetness as you cooks possibly put into single word. He looked you dead in the eyes, "No."
"But why?"
He raised a brow at you and sighed, "Because It's more fun this way. Besides you're always daydreaming about flying so why should this be any different?" You squirmed again. All he did was smile, proud of himself, and watched you struggle like a good tsundere boyfriend who had an unfair advantage with psychic powers.

God you loved that boy.
And it was time to let Hairo know that.
