You laid in bed the next day, glad that school was cancelled thanks to a power outage, probably due to whatever Saiki did to his brother. You remembered how everything felt when his lips touched yours, the way he took your breath away, and managed to make all of your anger just wash away. There was something about that kiss that made you see love in a whole new way... you wondered how you would have felt if you'd been able to sense positive feelings as easily as negative ones. You would have known Saiki liked you sooner... where would you be now? I wonder how long he's liked me for...

"A pretty long time."
You sat up and looked towards your window. It was still dark out. And the streets were dark thanks to the power outage. Saiki hovered outside your house sitting crisscross in the air and waiting to be let in. "Ku? What are you doing here?" You asked as you opened the window for him. He floated in and waited for you to close your window and turn to face him. You could see he was in lavender pajamas, they looked comfy.

"Sorry, I heard your thoughts and when I realized you were awake I... decided to come see you," his face held no expression as usual.
"No, it's fine don't be sorry."
"I realize I left on a pretty awkward note, and I didn't want to leave you without an explanation. Then again, I've never really had to talk about feelings before, so I don't know what I'm supposed to say." You listened to his every word and gave him a smile, then walked over slowly. He lowered to the ground, and you sat down with him. The psychic avoided eye contact as you said, "So you said that you liked me for a while then?"
"Yep."
"I see... and you came over head to talk about that?"
"More or less. I came to test the waters... see how you were holding up..."
"Test the waters? What do you mean by that?" You gave him a curious look and he gave you an abrupt answer.
"I wanted to kiss you again, and see how you feel."

You tensed up and felt heat rush to your cheeks, staining them red in the darkness of the early morning. Saiki moved closer to you, "You enjoyed the kiss didn't you?"
Why was he even asking if he could read your mind? Of course you enjoyed the kiss! In fact you've never received one like it! And for his first kiss... he was a natural. You did want to kiss him again, but you didn't know how to say it. These feelings were overwhelming you. "I-I... It's not that. It's just... I don't know." Saiki looked like he was trying to understand what you were saying. Or perhaps he was trying to decipher by reading your mind. When he couldn't find anything, he said, "Well that's why we're going to give it another try. Are you up for it or not?"
"Why at such an early time though? You do realize that my grandmother and sister are here, right? Why not come over later when-"
"Because... I was just as restless as you."
He couldn't wait to get his answer...?
You don't know how you knew that was the real reason, but the unsettled feeling in his gut that you felt made it a little more clear. Your skepticism was confirmed when his eyes suddenly darted to the other side of your room. "I'm not going to be like your past boyfriends. That's what you're afraid of isn't it? Well you should already know I'm not obsessive. If anything I dread showing affection around others, and more often, to others... I don't mind it with you but I can assure you that I won't overwhelm you. And I won't be— well... like your first boyfriend."
You remembered both boys vividly. Your first boyfriend wanted you for your looks, and your looks only. He didn't care about you, and he made it very clear every time you did something he didn't like. As for your second boyfriend... that was just a mess. He was a very sweet guy, but his affection went too far, too fast. You took a deep breath and looked at Saiki. He was a hybrid. He was middle ground, and you liked that. You liked him.
Okay, Ku... I'll do it. You scooted closer to him and knelt, sitting in your heels. He hesitated before moving closer and getting on his knees. Your family was sound asleep, they surely wouldn't come in... if they did, they would never let Saiki into your house again.

The psychic leaned in slowly and kissed your lips. His hands rested on your shoulders as he leaned down to kiss you. It was just as perfect as before, if not more so. It was a while before he pulled away to look at you. He could read your mind, and for the first time you could feel what was in his heart. Both of you were very, very pleased.

"That was nice..." he said. It wasn't long before he froze up and looked towards your door. You followed his gaze, "W-What is it?" He looked back at you and without warning rolled under the bed. Utterly confused, you looked underneath the bed to see him hold an index finger to his lips, signaling for you to be quiet. Your door flung open and there stood your little sister, her teddy bear hugged close to her chest as she whimpered, "Sissy, I had a nightmare." You looked to your bed then back to your sister. Bless his telekinesis. "C'mere," you motioned for her to come over, and she did. You sat crisscross and she sat in your lap. "What did you dream about?"
"It was a monster and-and it was hiding in the house somewhere and... and it was chasing me." She whimpered again. You smiled softly, "Awe, it's okay. There's no monster!"
"Can I sleep in here with you?"
Your eyes flashed towards the bed. Saiki has to give you an answer, and fast. "Tell her yes. I have an idea."
You nodded, "Of course you can, hun. Go get into the bed." She jumped up onto your mattress and looked down at you, "Why are you on the floor?"
"I was... um... I don't know if I'm being honest. I just woke up like this!" "That has got to be the worst lie I have ever heard of in my entire life. And I must have read the minds of half the city by now!"
Shut up, Saiki.

Your sister thought nothing of it and got under the covers. You got in beside her, and waited for Saiki to do whatever it was he was going to do. And it didn't take long for you to figure out what that was. Your sister fell asleep with ease and a smile on her face. Saiki was influencing her dream. The male squirmed out from under the bed and stood up. You giggled, "Well done. Will I see you tomorrow?"
"I'll stop by," he said. Kusuo pauses for a moment, seeming as if he was contemplating something. He leaned down and kissed your cheek, "Sleep well, (f/n)."
