Chapter 3: The Truth Revealed

April 27, 1999

Undertaker's POV
Stephanie seems really upset. But I have her now; Vince can't get her back. He may have just given up on her. My Ministry has successfully fended off any attempts to save Stephanie and will continue to do so.

"Stephanie? You may go to your room now. I have some things to take care of. Your belongings are already there. Make yourself at home," I said. Stephanie did not say anything, but I could see the anger in her eyes and her soul. She left my side and went to her room.

I went to my room and the phone rang. I picked it up to hear an angry Vince on the line; I could barely hear him though due to the reception. "Undertaker! Where is my daughter?! You bastard; why did you abduct and marry her?!", he yelled through the phone. "Vince, she is not your problem anymore. You kept her from me. I needed a fine woman to rule over the darkness alongside me. Where there is a Lord, there must be a Lady. She will never return to you, Vince...", I said before I hung up the phone. On the inside, my feelings for Stephanie had changed a bit. Did I love her? Maybe I did. The truth about Vince was now to be revealed to Stephanie.

Stephanie's POV
I laid on my bed and cried. The Undertaker had taken me from my father and brother. I was closer to them than I was with my mother. Well, I would just have to accept a new life with Taker. I heard a knock at my door and said, "Come in." It was the Undertaker. He sat beside me on my bed and put his arm around me. I tried to pull away, but he prevented that. I turned to face him and he said, "Dearest Stephanie, I had been watching you for a while. I needed a Lady of Darkness to rule alongside me; you are the perfect woman for that." "But I don't wish to be with you, Taker. I want to go home," I said with a look of anger on my face. "This is your home now, Stephanie. Your father was very strict and overprotective of you. You may not have been old enough at the time to understand that, but I was a witness of how he treated you. He was blinded by his own problems and took his feelings out on you," said the Undertaker. "What? No... that... can't be true," I said with tears running down my face. "Ah, but it is. I just revealed the truth about your father, Stephanie. After all, I would not lie to you," he said.

Undertaker's POV
I turned to Stephanie and looked in her eyes. I could see the sadness and hatred she felt towards her father now that she knew the truth.

"You are sorely mistaken if you think I will just...", Stephanie began, but I cut her off by pressing my lips to hers. She shoved me away and said, "I still won't fall into your arms easily. I don't have feelings for you, Undertaker," said Stephanie. "My dear, you think you hate me? Well, that will change soon enough. And please, you may call me Mark if that is easier," I said. "Like I'll ever have feelings for you," said Stephanie. "I'm afraid it is quite late. We should get some rest. Good night, my Lady," I said.

I returned to my room and changed clothes, then got into bed. Stephanie did the same.

I knew we were gonna have feelings for each other soon. I was already, but she wasn't. All of that would come in due time...
