Hey y'all I'm going to be starting school in a week. I assume everyone is starting soon also so whenever the time comes i will be putting a pause to the book if its not finished before then.thanks for understanding!
"Are you ready?"
"I guess"
I grabbed his hand as we walked to my car I opened the door for him and closed it running to my side and starting up the car.
We sat in a comfortable silence on the way to our first destination.
"An amusement park?" He smiled
"Ya I remember you were saying that you'd like to visit every amusement park in the world one day so why not start off with this one?" He blushed
We did a ton of rides and games I won him a giant stuffed animal and he won me one as well.
It was nothing but smiles and laughter.
The sam I knew was back.
And I hoped it stayed this way
It was getting around lunch time we stopped for lunch at his favorite restaurant and then we were off to the next spot.
The spot where I'd ask him to be mine.
" thank you colby its been an amazing day. and thank you for making me go out. i needed this it was fun" I smirked knowing he doesn't have any idea what was about to come
"Oh love its not over yet"
His eyes go wide
"what do you mean there's more?" I nod
"Yup" I said popping out the P
"Colbyyyy"
"Sammm"
"I don't like surprises"
"To bad you'll like it I promise"
He looked out the window the rest of the time. but knew where we were going once we pulled into the town
"Are you taking us to our spot colby?"
"You will have to wait and see" I smirked making him more annoyed
"Why cant you tell me?"
"Where's the fun in that Samuel! Come on live a little. we are almost there" he sighed giving up on arguing and looked out the window.
We arrived and I helped him out of the car. he smiled and thanked me I grabbed his had again leading him to the roof where we just sat and talked about anything and everything for hours. he was leaned against my chest as we looked out to our amazing view.
"Remember the one time we got caught skipping class for the first time"
"And you started crying and freaking out" I said we started to laugh
"I was scared!! I didnt want my mom to find out she would have killed me and never let me hang out with you again!"
We sat in silence a little bit when I decide its time to ask him to be mine.
"Hey sam I uh have something I need to confess" he pulled back from my chest and looked deep in my eyes.
His blue eyes were sparkling with happiness
"Sure what's going on colbs?"
I scratched the back of my neck but I wasn't nervous.
It felt natural like all of this is supposed to happen
"I uh. I'm gay. "
He smiled
"well Mr. Brock that doesn't change anything. but i guess i have something to confess to you as well" I could tell he was more nervous about this than i was i held his hand and had him look at me
"Its OK sam you can tell me anything"
"I'm bisexual. its part of the reason on why i broke up with Kat"
I knew there was something more
"Well sam that also changes nothing but what was the other reason?" He looked at me and then back at my lips.
Before he answered he kissed me passionately I've never kissed someone in this way before. it was magical.
"I was in love with you" he blushed and looked down.
I put my index finger to his chin pulling it up to look at me.
" well Samuel goldbach. I'm in love with you to" my heart fluttered with happiness. Who knew all these years we could have been together but we were both just to scared.
"Will you be my boyfriend sam?" He had a huge grin on his face and kissed me once more.
"Yes. Of course I would love to be your boyfriend Colby" we stayed in each others arms for what seemed forever. I looked at the sun as it was starting to set
"Oh we have to get going i have one.. Two more surprises for the night" i kissed his cheek and helped him up and led him back to my car. we sat in a comfortable silence with our hands intertwined.
You can feel the love and happiness in the air.
I arrived at the beach a few seconds later.
"Sunset on the beach. how romantic" he said as I laughed
"Oh thats not all love" I get again helped him out of the car and we walked towards a blanket i had Brennen set up for us.
He gasps
"Dinner while watching the sunset on the beach how did you know?" I knew this was his perfect date after talking to Kat about everything the other night
"I talked to a few people I have my ways"
I gave him a smile as Brennen came out with food
"And we have I hop tonight for dinner" he said Making sam laugh
"What I love you but im on a budget!"
He laughed even harder.
We sat and talked and watched the sunset.
I almost forgot about the ring!
"OK sam i have the last surprise for the day "
He yawned
"OK what is it?"
Now I was nervous.
"I don't know what will happen in the future. As much as i want to promise that I'll protect you forever I may not be able to do that but I can promise that i will always be here for you together or not I'll always be a shoulder to cry on or a 4am ranting session. I also will promise that i will always love you. " I pulled out the box making him gasp
"I have a promise ring. and i want to make one thing clear" I pulled it out and out it on his finger
"I promise you will always have me"
"Colby I love it" he started tearing up
"Hey what's wrong love"
"I just love you...so much" i smiled giving him a light kiss
"I love you to sam"
Then reality hit when it got dark.
Tomorrow.
What if i can't protect him tomorrow??
