Hours went by being here I had no tell of time.
I was assuming it was around dinner because I was absolutely starving.
I was writing in my journal a lot today.
I also drew some pictures for my white wall.
I mean come on I just wanted to add more color.
It was just like last time.
Depressing and lonely
Honestly if you wanted someone to get better it would not be this place.
It made things 10 times worst.
I laied on my bed and looked at the celling since there was nothing better to do.
Also I should mention they took my phone so ya there's that.
While i was deep in thought someone knocked on my door
"DINNER!
Great
I thought to myself
I walked out and there were boys walking out of the rooms next to me. No one said anything walking to dinner so I didn't either. Everyone got in a line and it was a buffet style dinner.
And let me say
Everything looked gross and dry.
But I'm hungry so I am going to eat it anyway.
Tonights dinner was some kind of meat I'm assuming chicken they also had a vegan version
With corn mashed potatoes mac and cheese with a roll. we also got cheese cake for dessert.
I grabbed my food and tried to find a seat.
There was a lonely spot at the end of the table that's where i decided to go.
I hated dinner the most.
Everyone is just sad and empty and acted almost like robots.
I had the ring Colby got me on my finger and I played with it using my thumb.
I miss colby. he gives me life.
And happiness unlike everyone here
I sighed and took a bite of my food which tasted like school food.
Half way through my dinner a boy with blonde tiped hair and brown roots came and sat next to me.
"Hi. your new here!" He was oddly happy.
I got a closer look when he sat next to me. he had brown eyes and a black and white sweater with a red checkered leggings. an interesting outfit choice.
"Uh ya I'm sam"
I said putting my hand out.
He did the same
"I'm jake!"
We sat in silence a bit
but I just had to ask him the question
"no offense but you are oddly happy for being in this place can I ask why?"
"honestly just trying to make a bad situation a little lighter. I know your probably upset and just as depressed as i am. so i thought you might needed a friendly face"
"Oh OK" i smiled.
he was really cute.
I liked his energy he had even though you can see in his eyes he is hurting.
"Did you know if you forced yourself to smile you are more likely to be happy? I read that once.
It doesn't work really well.
Or I might be doing something wrong"
I chuckled at his cuteness and his attempts to make me smile
"There's a smile I wanted to see!"
"So how long have you been here jake?"
he shrugged his shoulders
"Uh. 2 years i think. i don't know i lost keeping count "
"your allowed to stay here that long?"
his smile soon turned
"Ya but honedy id rather stay here my parents..."
"Its OK you don't have to tell me"
I said not wanting to make him uncomfortable
"Thanks...i will tell you one day. just not today"
"That's fine take all the time that you need"
He gave me a reassuring smile.
"You know i feel like we will be good friends here sammy"
Sammy.
Colby calls me sammy
"Honestly. me to"
"I'm glad i really needed a friend this place can be a dark place sometimes"
I nod
"Ya I know"
"You've been here a day how do you know that?"
"I uh been here before"
"Oh OK" was all he said. I honestly am really glad he didn't ask because I didn't want to talk about that. colby is the only person who knows and i want it that way right now.
"DINNERS OVER BACK TO YOUR ROOMS!"
"Well sam I will see you later"
"Bye jake" before i knew it I was back in my jail cell.
