Sometimes the worst lies are the ones we tell ourselves. I'm worthless. I don't deserve to live. No one would notice if I disappeared.
We don't love ourselves, and in turn we become bitter at life. We seeing the worst in everything, but mostly ourselves. That's what happened to you.
You were the runt of your family. Never being noticed because you weren't really that special. You were just ordinary. You got ordinary grades, you were ordinary at sports and you were just an ordinary teenager with practically no friends. Well, mostly ordinary except for the fact you had powers. You had the ability to control darkness, shadow, etc. Everyone in your family knew of your powers but treated you like a virus that had infected your family. You were constantly being verbally abused by your 2 older siblings that seemed to hate you for a part of you that you couldn't change. School wasn't much better. You went to Midtown School of Science and sure, you had people you talked to but you really couldn't call them your friends. You knew that they always talked about you behind your back and were just around you so that they could get praise in getting close to the loser. You hated everyone but you couldn't find it in yourself to hurt them because of the person you were. So you came up with the villain title, Shade. As her it didn't really matter what you did to anyone, because all the anger you had been building up for years was leaving your body, leaving you with a sense of relief, not caring if anyone was hurt because of what you did. Soon enough you had grabbed the attention of the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. One night while you were out doing your regular duties of using peoples fear against them, you didn't noticed a certain spider sneak up from behind you and take you by the waist pulling you into an abandoned building (lets just pretend there was conveniently an abandoned building by them 😂)
Feeling the pressure ease from you waist, you were quick to turn around and attack the person that had caught you off guard. Before you could a web suddenly drew your body to a wall pinning you. You struggled to get out as Mr. Spider boy walked closer to you. "What is wrong with you?" Is what came out of his mouth. You thought he was about to go all interrogation mode on you but i guess not. Not answering you continued to look into the eyes of his mask. "How can you live your life going around ruining people's lives so they can be afraid of their shadows the rest of their lives. You scare children so bad that their parents cant even coax them to sleep with the sounds of their voices. All you do is go around and make people's lives miserable. You're a monster, you know that right?" His voice got darker by the end of that speech making you turn to him with fire in your eyes as he said the last part (forgot to say you had a mask and I just realized that now oops). " I may be a monster to you, but don't talk to me like you know who I am. You're the hero in this story, so of course you can criticize me for my faults because you're basically perfect in everyone's eyes. YOU probably don't have parents telling you every night that your worthless, your older siblings telling you that you should just kill yourself to get rid of the burden they have with you in their lives. The villains will always be seen as monsters, but maybe all we are are broken people."
This is unedited but I wanted to put out this request that i got like 2 weeks ago so sorry that it took so long and is so crappy 😔 But luckily there will be a part 2 to make up for my mistakes
