Silently strolling around the empty halls of the Milano, you remember all of the memories that used to fill these quarters, the laughter, the romance, and the friends.
A few months before
As always you had somehow ended up cleaning the entire ship with everyone somewhere else being lazy and doing their own thing. You were currently on your knees scrubbing the floor and taking off what was hopefully not poo. As you cleaned you had your walkman, identical to your brothers and were listening to your favorite song, Southern Nights. You silently mouthed the words, your hips swaying to the beat as you made your way slowly across the floor. As you felt more comfortable, you cranked your music up and began actually singing along out loud . You finally finished the floor and made your way up to the walls. You fully began to dance to the music and sang like your life depended on it. As the song finished you paused the music, suddenly hearing slow applause behind you. Your face flushing you turned around to find your brother, Peter, his girlfriend and your best friend Gamora, with Rocket and teenage Groot. You nervously laughed at the thought of what they saw. " How much did you see??" You whispered in now the quiet room. Your eyes traveled to your one and only twin brother. Looking at you with a mischievous smile tugging at his thin lips. This was one of the moments that you really wanted to slap him. " Enough to to catch your dance moves and glorious voice." You didn't think that your face could get redder after this but boy were you wrong, because after that was said all of them decide that they would demonstrate. You face slowly transformed into a smile as you saw they uncoordinated dance moves and horrible dancing. A thought popped into your head as you remember the speakers that surround this ship. You suddenly reach for the controls and started blasting the song again gaining a jump of surprise from your friends. You danced over to your brother shaking your hips in his face. The smile that was on his face before instantly grew 2x the size as he grabbed your hand and spun you around just like when he was teaching you to dance. You instantly grabbed Gamora's hand and spun her around so she was facing Peter now. You reached out for Groot who instantly pulled back, but you were too fast. You grabbed his arm and pushed him into Peter and Gamora who oddly enough were still dancing. Grabbing Rocket as quick as you could so he wouldn't disappear, you shoved him into the group. As all of you danced with no coordination and no dancing styles alike, you suddenly realized with a jolt that this was the family you never had. The home that you never remembered having. The thing that you would never let go.
Back to the present
Your body slumped against the wall as this memory spreed across your mind causing you to fall backward and onto the music console accidentally pressing play. You held you head in your hands as Southern Lights blared, causing all the other memories, some you didn't even remember having, flooding back making your body start shaking with the sobs that you hoped would stop your suffering. You tried pulling out your hair, screaming till you throat felt raw. You had had everything. You finally had the family you had always dreamed of. But that was taken away in a moment. And all it took was a snap of a monsters fingers.
_______ I know this doesnt follow the movies because I forgot Mantis and Thanos just killed Gamora but I just felt like I needed to change it to make the story I wanted better.
