It was a very cold day in Russia, And I was wandering around the dark, streets, hands nestled deep in my pockets. The fur hood hung over my head like the grim reaper had designed my suit. It hung off my slim body like a raincoat. Flurries of snow took up the sky as if our world was being invaded. I hadn't seen nor heard from any if my friends for a long time. I had recently returned to Russia after I was at all the competions I could take a spot in. 'Perfect time to return..' I thought to myself sighing in a thick, musty, humid cloud in front of me. Cars whizzed past me so fast I thought a couple of them were bound to crash somewhere up the road. "How can they even see?" I said out loud, rolling my emerald eyes at their foolery.
As I looked back down, I stared at my shoes, that were gathering the powder from the sky on the tops of them. Padded footsteps started getting more noticable, and I heard them behind me, getting closer. Before I had time to look up or even respond at all, someone crashed into my back. We toppled forward, grunting. The other person stayed frozen for a moment before they gasped, and tried to get up off me. The snowy, icy streets of Russia permitted us to do so, having us lay uncomfortably in the snow on pavement. I growled, now not able to feel my face as the ice melted against it, but it felt like it was welding itself to my face. I brought my arms to the sides of my face, pushing as hard as I could. I got myself off the ground just enough to roll onto my back. The person fell to the side of me when I did this. It was a girl. A girl with no coat, or anything to keep her warm. Her nose was pinker then normal, turning purple. Her fingers were in her armpits, and she was shivering so badly.

I narrowed my eyes at this girl. How stupid was she? No coat, no anything. What did she expect to happen?! I stood up with a slight growl. "Watch where you're going, baka!" I yelled angrily. She just looked up at me, tears rolling down her cheeks. I stared back at her raising a suspecting eyebrow. "Huh?!" I repeated. She looked around, and then suddenly her eyes landed on my fur coat.
"C-can you share that?" She asked. I looked at her, cocking my head in confusion.
"What?" I asked. She now put a bare hand on the iceburnt pole, hoisting herself up.
"I'm new here, and I had no idea it was this cold.. My parents sent me here on my own.. They didn't really want to have me around.. Told me to go out and make some friends. I can return in a month." She answered quietly. I looked at her as she said this, and finally shook your head.
"Okay.. Go buy your own then. You're a complete stranger.." I said waving her off as I turned on my heel to trudge away. She stood there quietly.
"Please.. I don't have money." She said. I glanced over my shoulder at this.
"How do I know you're not just one of those idiots who go around to gather money and run off to grab a drink and get drunk with it?" I asked. She sighed, rubbing her arms.
"I wouldn't stand out in the snow just to get drunk." She said bluntly. I rolled my eyes.
"Here.. I'll walk you to a store and buy you a coat and boots." I said reluctantly. I can't just let her freeze.. Also this way I can get rid of her faster. She nodded quickly before rushing up beside me. I walked forward, sighing. I glanced at her, and she was hurriedly walking beside me.
"I'm Y-Y/N.." she said. I didn't respond for a moment. Looking at the sky, I pursed my lips.
"Yuri." I muttered. She nodded.
"Hi Yuri. Thank you." I scoffed. "Whatever.

Once we were up the road, she looked down at her feet, sighing. "All this is so nice and all.. But It still doesn't fix the fact I don't have a home to go back to.." She mumbled. I could barely hear her speaking, but still made out what she was trying to say. I almost told her to go stay at Katsudon's place, but remembered we're in Russia. I licked my chapped lips.
"Sorry.. I don't know what to tell you.." I said. Wait did she say to go back to? So she's actually meaning she got kicked out? I turned to her to see her frowning. She opened her mouth to speak.
"Well, I suppose you can't.. Thanks for everything.. I guess I'll leave-" I growled loudly, feeling the anger rising in me.
"Your parents kicked you out for good?! Why those-" I cut myself off, narrowing my eyes. "How old are you?" I asked demandingly. She jumped at my demanding question, and looked at me quickly before looking down at her feet, kicking the soft snow.
"I'm fifteen." She said quickly, as if she was embarrassed. I looked down. I was fifteen too.
"Do you ice skate?" I asked out of the blue. She looked up at me, giving me a confused look.
"Well.. I haven't since I was young.. I've never been good." She said, sniffing from the harsh cold. I nodded slightly, and outstretched a hand for her to take. She blinked, confused before lowering her hand to mine. I didn't even wait til her hand was actually set in my palm. I grabbed it from the air, and took off padding through the crunchy snow.

She yelped in surprise, and grabbed onto my arm with both of her hands, to balance herself on the icy streets.
"Wh-where are we going, Yuri?" She asked. I didn't answer. What kind of a parent leaves their child for nothing? She was like me.. No parents around, being sent away, being homeless for a time.. I always wanted to reverse it, fix it.. Make them want me.. This time I can prevent her from turning out bitter like I did. Hot tears burned my eyes, and I looked down, blinking. Suddenly, Y/N jerked on my arm, making me stumble backward, hearing a loud honk in front of me. I looked at her, giving her a look. She sighed a breath of relief.
"Y-yuri.. You almost got hit by a car.." She said, breathing heavily from fear. I looked ahead, seeing a large, busy road with the cars still hazardly speeding. My heart jumped.
"I almost died.." I whispered. She looked at me, breathing heavily, before a smirk overtook her face. She bent over, starting to laugh harder. "That was close!" She said. I nodded. "Yeah.. Why are you laughing?!" I asked. She shook her head, brushing her hair back with her hand.
"I don't know.." Maybe it was out of relief, or shock.. Whatever the reason, her laughter had died down now, replaced with small chuckles. I rolled my eyes.
"Let's just go-" I stopped talking suddenly, when two arms wrapped around my neck, and a small laugh was heard by my ear.

I now realized she was hugging me. She was so cold..I blushed, and hit her back harder then I intended to. She pulled away, smiling a little.
"I'm glad you're okay." She said softly. I nodded.
"U-uh me too.." I sighed. Weird.. I wanted to smile there.. I looked at the road, and looked around before pulling her across when it was safe. On the other side, I let go of her hand, stuffing it back in my pocket, embarrassed.
"Where are we going?" She asked. I didn't look at her and instead stared forward intently. "My house." I answered bitterly. She looked at me.
"Okay..? But we're still acquaintances." She shrugged. I groaned audibly.
"I'm Yuri plisesky.. People call me yuratchka, and yurio. Don't you dare call me the second one. I'm mean, and I hate dogs and people who ask questions." I said rudely. She shook her head, and smiled a bit.
"I'm Y/N L/N.. People call me N/N, and I love (things you love), and doing stuff to make me not bored." She said in the same snooty manner, mocking me. I ignored her, and kept walking. Whatever. I thought I heard her giggle behind me. What a brat..
