Chapter 5: Come with Me!
The trio made it back to the house and Elvie took her flowers inside.
"She is going to be in there awhile. When she finds something new, she makes sure to figure out everything she can." Elvan said packing up the saddle they had used on the trip to the hill.
Keefe stared at the ground. It's horrible she had to go through that. But she is just more like me. A reject. By her own family. I wish I could help her with it. Her mother and father must be terrible. Like... like mine. Keefe suddenly grew angry. Our parents will pay.
"Dude, you ok?" Elvan asked. He was looking at Keefe with a confused expression on his face.
"Ya, I'm just thinking." Keefe said, running his hand through his hair.
Suddenly they heard a scream from the house. The two boys ran inside to find Elvie jumping up and down excitedly. "Elvan! Keefe! I've found it! It's perfect!!!" She yelled, pulling Keefe into a hug. She blushed and let go.
"You found it? Finally?!" Elvan asked.
"Found what?"
"Yes I have. I've made a doomsday poison!!" Elvie smiled.
Keefe stared at her.
"P...poison?" Keefe said. Elvan flashed a grin.
"It's her first one! I've been wanting one for years. How in the world did you know it's a poison?" Elvan's smile faded.
Elvie grinned. "Come here I will show you!!" She grabbed both their hands and led them into the kitchen. Pots and pans hung from the ceiling, clinking together as the wind blew in from an open window. On one side of the kitchen a stove stood, along with other cooking utensils. On the other side, there was an alchemy set. Bright blue liquid was dripping off the end of a tube, slowly into a bottle. Everything smoked and sizzled, moving through the assortment of tubes like snakes. A shriveled up plant stood bent over next to the tubes.
"I put a single drop of this doomsday potion on the leaf and immediately the entire plant shriveled up started smoking. What's weird was instead of the blue smoke I thought I would get, the smoke is actually bright pink!" Elvie said, scurrying over to the plant and showing them the dead orchid.
"Wow. That definitely does a lot of damage. And it's just one drop?" Keefe said, going over to the alchemy set.
"Just one drop. I didn't add anything!! I boiled the juice out of the flower, then ran it though heat and cooling. I had had a bottle specially made for poison that stole from the Neverseen before I-" Elvie suddenly stopped smiling.
Elvan came over and put his hand on her shoulder. "It's alright. We just have to wait for our next adventure."
Keefe suddenly had an idea. "I've got it!" He raced over and smirked, swiping the hair out of his face like a model. Elvie melted a little bit and itched her nose. "Why wait?! Come with me!!"
Thank you so much!!!! We hoped that you liked this chapter!!!!
