That night while his brothers were asleep, the middle child stayed awake, lying in bed, listening to his parents arguing, clutching tightly on his blanket. Maybe if he held on tight, then everything will be back to normal. He heard every word that came out of his parents mouth although they were trying to be quite.
"He's just a kid, Honey" the mother softly says.
"I know but with the company doing so well, this incident cannot be known, it will ruin my name, the company, our family!" The father sighed as he ran his hands through his hair.
"But a mental asylum? Isn't that too much? He's not crazy! It was just a mistake" the mother whispered not wanting to wake her kids up.
"You saw what he did back there, he also denied it. No one else was outside in the backyard, only him. He's a psychopath! He has a problem and he needs to be fixed."
The mother stayed quite, reimagining what she saw earlier that day.
"He is a disgrace to his family, we will be ruined if people ever find out that one of our sons is a psychopath."
The mother just nodded knowing that her husband was had a point and she couldn't win this argument either.
The arguing stopped and the middle child could hear footsteps coming near his room and he quickly turned over in his bed and pretended to be asleep.
The door opened and his mother walked in the dark quiet room and sat on the side of her son's bed, the light from the hallway outside was the only light source.
"Sweetie wake up" she said soothingly rubbing his back.
"hmmmm?" The child answered pretending that his mother had woken him up although he was awake the whole time.
"Get dressed, we are going on a little trip" she said as she cups her son's checks.
"Where are we going mommy?" The boy asked as he sat up in his bed, rubbing his eyes.
"Me and daddy are going to take you to the carnival sweetie" she replied a little heart broken that she has to lie to her son.
"Are my brothers coming too Mommy?" The boy asked, his big shiny eyes looked up at his mother's.
"I'm afraid not. But it's okay they will go and meet you in the morning so you can all play together okay, but tonight it's just you b-because you are special" she softly said while gently running her hands through his soft hair.
"Okay mommy" he replied giving her a big hug, and she kissed his head before he got out of bed to get ready for the carnival. The mother softly cried as she watched her son's face light up thinking that he was going to the carnival.

Present day:
Detective Jeon sigh deeply as he scramble to find the right key to his apartment. "why do I have so many frickin keys" he grumbled to himself as the jingle of his keys could be heard for miles.
Work has been frustrating lately since detective Jeon is still in square one to finding the serial killer who carves words on victim's forehead. He's been on square one for years. Detective Jeon was the best detective on the force but ever since he decided to take the case of this particular killer, his pride has been shot down. He has never met a serial killer whose as careful as this one, and it was driving him crazy. He would stay up late at night reviewing clues only to find himself in a dead end.
"Finally" he whispered to himself as he found his apartment key and unlocked the door. As he was about to walk in he felt a presence behind him. A shiver crawled down his spine giving him goosbumps, and his pupils dilated.
As adrenaline rushed through his body, he quickly pulled out his gun, turned around and raised up his gun in the flash of a lightening. The police force trained him good almost too good.
"Freeze!" he shouted, eyes shooting out lasers at the person in front of him.
The blonde man in front of him froze, eyes wide open "what the hell man!" the blonde man complain throwing his hands in the air, dropping the box he was carrying.
Detective Jeon's eyes grew soft as he realized he wasn't it any danger. "Sorry, habits, I work for the police department" he explained as he put his gun back into its place.
The other man didn't reply, neither did he show any emotions, keeping a poker face ,he picked up his box and walked towards the apartment that was next to detective Jeon's.
"Oh you must be my new neighbor!" detective Jeon brightly said as he walked over to introduce himself "my name's Jeon Jungkook or detective Jeon" he smiled showing his two front teeth that resembles a rabbit.
Without giving Jungkook a glance, the man held his box with one hand and pulled out his keys with his other hand to open the door to his new apartment . Jungkook studied the man's soft features, he had soft but somewhat cold eyes, and his pink plumped lips stood out from his pale skin which complemented his dirty blonde hair. Jungkook didn't recognize him, but his presence was somewhat familiar. "Jimin, Park Jimin" he coldly said as he opened his door and disappeared inside, shutting it behind him with a slam, leaving Jungkook at his door steps.
Hearing the name, Jungkook froze as if the world around him stopped moving "J-Jimin?" he whispered.
