"Breaking news! Police just reported that the mental asylum of Busan got caught on fire due to a gas leak. The building exploded before it went down in flames. After the fire had died down, it was reported that there were no survivors. Bodies have been found but due to the server burns, identifications are completely impossible. The town is now in mourning due to the loss of dozens of citizens."
____________
"I just wanna say that Mr. and Mrs. Jeon were very close friends of mine. And it's a shame that they died in that fire along with dozens of other people. It is believed that Mr. and Mrs. were helping out the mental patients, people who are born differently. It's a shame that their good souls were taken away from us too quickly...."

Jungkook and Jin sat at the very first row listening to their parent's coworkers make speeches about how great they were. The funeral was horrible, all they could hear was the clicking of cameras from the paparazzis who wanted to get the best pictures for the headlines on magazines. It's funny how people only appreciate you when you are dead, Jin thought to himself as he mourned at the funeral of his parents.

Although it was a funeral, the two brothers were angry, angry that no one mourned for their brother who also died in the fire that night. No one mourned for him because no one knew he existed, their father did a good job of erasing his existence from the world, but Jimin was someone the boys could never forget as they reminded themselves everyday of who he was. To force his sons to forget their brother, their father permitted them to visit Jimin at the asylum. Mr. and Mrs. Jeon visited their son once in a while but not enough.

"..... and as for the company, the company will have a new chairman! Let me introduce you to the first born of Mr. Jeon, Jeon Seokjin! He will step up and carry the weight of the company on his shoulders! Although he has mearly reached his twenties and is lacking in experience, I'm sure he will learn to adjust, won't you Mr. Jeon?"

Jin was filled with anger. How can people be so disrespectful at a funeral. It's a fucking funeral and they are talking about business. Why can't they let him and his brother mourn in peace. It was bad enough that they lost their family, but not being able to properly mourn crossed the line. Fuming with angry Jin stood up and stormed out and he was followed by a crowd of paparazzis and reporters.

Jungkook ,who was lost in thoughts was unaware that he was left alone, stared blankly at the caskets of his parents, he shutted out all the noise and everything around him seemed to move in slow motion. He didn't know whether to be sad or angry towards his parents. He was sad because they were gone from his life forever ,but he was also angry that if they hadn't sent Jimin to a mental asylum, they would all be here as a happy family. Him, Jimin, and Jin would've gotten to grow up together instead of growing up apart. He felt that it was unfair that Jimin grew up alone in a metal asylum ,while him and Jin had rich, luxurious lives. But things turned out the way it was because of a lie. And jungkook hated himself for it.
Deep down inside Jungkook knew that somehow Jimin had survived, he couldn't accept his brother's death. That little hope was the only thing keeping him from falling apart. From that day on Jungkook decided to become a police officer so that justice could be served and that any missing little boy would be found and brought home. Maybe by solving crimes, he can make up for the mistake his foolish young self had made. Maybe just maybe he can bring Jimin back home.

Present day:
Jungkook picked up the dead, droopy flowers and replaced them with fresh, new flowers. He dusted off the dirt that was sitting on his parents tombstone. A sudden cool breeze blew through his raven colored hair and a shiver crawled down his spine, causing him to shove his hands into the pockets on his denim Jacket. The cemetery had a creepy vibe that Jungkook wasn't really a big fan of.
"I should hate you both, but I don't because it was all my fault" the words dryly escaped his mouth as he stared down at the two tombstone of his parents. "I-I'm sorry but... Why!? Why did you have to send him away!? It was me! I'm the one who k-killed the girl! Send me away! Not him! H-he's innocent!!" Jungkook's voice cracked as he was now down on all fours.
"We could have been happy together, and ALIVE!!" Jungkook broke down in tears as he clutched onto the grass beneath him, digging his fingers into the ground.
The silent cemetery was filled with Jungkook's sobs until he was interrupted by the ringtone on his phone. Jungkook quickly wiped away his tears, grabbed his phone from his pocket, seeing that the call was from Taehyng, he answered the call.
"Jeon speaking" he answered trying to keep his voice from cracking.
"Detective get here immediately! There's been another murder! I'll text u the address." Detective Kim addressed.
"I'm on my way!" Jungkook replied, ending the call.
On his way to his car, he spotted a familiar man stand under a tree in the distance, watching him. Jungkook squinted his eyes to get a better look at the face and had a confused look when he realized who it was.
"Park Jimin?" He whispered to himself. He looked back at the man, but the man turned and ran away when he realized he had been spotted.
Jungkook was about to go and chase him, but he remembered the call from Taehyung sounded urgent, so he sprinted full speed to his car.
