How Katie and Ashton Got Together

(A/N: Hope you like this! Mini chapter on how Katie and Ashton got together.)

(3rd Person POV)

Ashton runs his hands through his hair in frustration as him and his twin were standing in his room arguing over none other than a girl.

Iris claimed that she never said her brother couldn't date her, he argued back saying that's all she ever put across to him, and that Katie is her E-Girl and that E-Girls are single pringles.

"Why are you making me the bad guy here Ashton! If you had just told me that you frikin like her then we could've had this conversation ages ago!" Iris shouts mad at her brothers' accusations.

"I don't like her!" Ashton yells back mad at the fact that his sister thinks it's just some crush.

"What! What are you on about!" She yells again, completely and utterly confused.

"I frikin love her Iris! It's not just some stupid crush! I'm in love with her!" Ashton admits.

Iris stood there, shocked that her brother felt this way about one of her best friends.

"Then be with her Ashton..." She whispers, smiling a little bit.

"I want to but I don't want to ask her out then find out she doesn't like me back." Ashton also whispers, seeing that Iris has calmed down.

"That's what the concept of dating is bro, you ask the girl and if they say no then you just keep asking until they realise that you really want to go out with them and they say yes." She smirks and Ashton shakes his head and laughs a little.

"Ok... Gabe's waiting for me online, I'll catch you before I go to sleep ok." He tells his sister hugging her before heading out the door.

"Yea, Ash?" Iris says before he leaves the room.

"Yea?"

"Don't hold back, take your shot, she's still single." She giggles and Ashton raises his eyebrows and scoffs a little before smirking.

"Yea, I will." He tells her and he turns to leave.

"Good! Now get out of here so I can talk to Racheal" Iris ushers.

"Yep..." Ashton franticly says.

(The next day, E-Girls and Ashton's group sitting at lunch)

"Hey Kates?" Ashton ask nervously, this is it, he's about to ask the girl of his dreams out on a date.

"Yea?" She ask still laughing at something Becca said, what his sister sore in that girl he did not know, but he was glad she found Katie.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" He ask rather shyly but suddenly realising that he has to man up and just spill his feelings.

"Sure, back soon guys." Katie says hopping up from her spot.

"Bye..." Iris replies smirking and sending her brother a wink of encouragement.

Ashton leads Katie behind the schools most beautiful willow tree, his Mothers' favourite.

"Hey, what's up?" Katie smiles, a little nervous herself.

"Well first of all you look beautiful." Ashton says, shocked at his own sudden burst of confidence.

"Oh um, thank you." Katie replies, her cheeks now a tomato red.

"You're more than welcome, second of all I'm going to tell you something and I want you to know its ok to stop me and walk away ok." Ashton nervously laughs and Katie joins him.

"Ok..."

"Ok here goes nothing, you know those times when you catch me looking your way or smiling at you?" He ask her raising his eyebrows.

"Yea..." She replies, confused as to why Ashton was asking her these things.

"And those times when I 'accidently' bump into you in the hallways?" He adds, smiling a little.

"Um yea..." Katie says.

"And those times when I stutter when we have a conversation..." Ashton says, rather quietly.

"Yea..." Katie giggles a little.

"Even those times when I 'accidently' leave my jumper at your house when we hang out at yours sometimes?" Ashton tells her and Katie is shocked but she feels flattered.

"Um, ok but yea..." She laughs.

Ashton takes a deep breath and says;

"It's because I'm so madly in love with you Katie..." And the sound of Katie's gasp could be heard miles away.

"What..." She stutters.

"I'm in love with you, it's not just some stupid crush, I love everything about you, how you furrow your eyebrows when you don't understand things, the way you have an outburst when you read a book and then get all embarrassed about it, I love the fact that even though the teacher says 'someone who hasn't answered a question already' but you put your hand up anyway, I love the fact that you say you're watching TV even though I know you're studying or reading a book, I love the fact that you don't care what you like because you are the most perfect girl I've ever met, I love the fact that you complain about cheerleading but two seconds later you're the most enthusiastic person there, I love how you scrunch up your nose when you read something sappy or eat something sour, I love how sarcastic you are, I love how much you care about your dog, I love how you'll help anyone even if they don't deserve it, I love how you get all excited when you get a test back, I – I just love everything about you Katie, this list could go on together but I'm asking you if you'll go on a da-" Ashton rambles without taking a breath I might add.

But Katie cuts him off with a kiss, with tears flowing down her cheeks from how sweet the boy in front of her is and the fact that after all these years of watching girls throw themselves over him and being madly in love with him as well, the girl who doesn't flirt with him or throw herself on him, gets him.

"Just shut-up and let me be your girlfriend..." She laughs and he smiles so wide she didn't think the sun shined brighter than the way his faced looked.

"I am more than happy with that..." He smirks pulling her closer to him.

He kisses her again and they end up being 10 minutes late to class...
