her fingers brush against the white walls of the hospital as she takes slow steps, finding home in the warmth radiating from his body, like secrets well-kept.
"what's this?" her feet come to a stop as her hands touch cold metal, engraved with what seem to be names, and in that spot, hazel decides to settle.

he follows her gaze.
"oh." recognition is a monster in his eyes. "it's the memory wall. people from this department that have passed away. underneath the names are final thoughts, if they wish to have them there."
hazel nods, but isn't fully focused on his words. her fingers trail down charlie's name, where they meet braille once again.
