Following Natsu

They stood in front of the sunset, smiling. Natsu focused on her hair for a moment, golden, and shining through the sunset.

"Natsu!!" He heard from a distance away, the voice of his mom. Bad. News. "It's freaking 7:00 now! Baka! Get you're ass home!"

Natsu sighed in sorrow, because of the thought of leaving his new friend. He looked at her in the eyes, still smiling and said to her. "I-.. I'll be back tomorrow." He handed her the umbrella gently. "Have a good sleep, ok?"

"Thank you, Natsu." She pulled him into one last hug. "Please, promise you'll come back tomorrow?"

"I promise."

They let go, while Natsu made his way towards his mom.

"Where the hell you've been?!" Natsu's mom asked, her face almost red from all her anger.

"I.. I just finished the Contest! Look mom! 1000 jewel!" Natsu smiled, attempting to change the subject.

"Don't give me that 'oh, look mom!' Why were you near the river wth some girl!"

"Well she-"

"I told you!" Natsu's mom cut him off, "I told you that you're too young to have a girlfriend!" His mom crossed her arms, glaring right into Natsu's frightened eyes.

Natsu glared back at her, "she has no home! She tried falling into the lake an-"

"You should of let her fall into the lake!" Natsu's mom yelled, raising both her arms, "We have out own problems! And she has hers, let her deal with it on her own!"

Natsu then had no more words to say, shocked that his mom would think like that, saying she would let people as young as him, end their life. He crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes, trying to indicate that he was angry with his mom. Don't worry, Lucy. After all this I'll be back tomorrow.

"NATSU! HURRY AND WAKE UP ALREADY!!"

Natsu was interrupted from his good sleep, by the roaring words of his mother, who seemed to hate him more then ever after yesterday. Is she mad at me for being late, or for helping Lucy?

"NATSUU!!"

Natsu groaned out of frustration, "IM ALREADY AWAKE!"

"THEN BRUSH YOUR TEETH OR SOMETHING, YOUR BREATH PROBABLY STINKS LIKE ALWAYS!!"

"Tch," Natsu scoffed, "why does she have to be the cruelest she can be when it comes to me." He waited in his bed for a few more minutes, which his bed was surrounded by rays of sun. If I was made out of fire, eating the sun would taste so good.

He dragged himself to the washroom, proceeding to do what his mother commanded. As he brushed his teeth he looked behind him at the window. The rays of sun again, this time the rays were a bright and shining golden colour. Which reminded him.

"Lucy!" Natsu says, muffled by his toothbrush. "That's right! I wonder if she's awake." He quickly spit his toothbrush out of his mouth, cupped his hands and gathering water to rinse his mouth.

"Or what if she's already waiting?" He said, with a hint of worry in his voice. He grabbed his backpack and tossed it onto his back.

"Mom!" He yelled down the stairs. "What's for breakfast?" Natsu came down the stairs into the kitchen, where his mom was at the counter beside the microwave, which was on and cooking something.
