17: The Promise I Made to Myself

Natsu's POV

"Hi, Mirajane-sensei," I greet as I walk through the doors of the Girls's dorm. "I'm here to visit Lucy." Before I walk into the elevator, it opens. And out walks the blonde-haired girl I was looking for. I immediately smile. "Hey, Lucy!" I call, walking towards her.

"Hi, Natsu-kun.." She replies, her voice sounding weak.

"Hoi!" I blurt as I grab onto her shoulders, "You're crying?" I ask, staring at her moist and puffy eyes.

"Natsu-kun, can I just ask you one thing?" She mumbles, pushing my hands off her shoulders. "Can you.. Can you leave me alone?!" She screams, more tears flowing down her cheeks.

"Lucy?" I frown, trying to hold onto her hand.

"I just want to be alone.." She mutters as she walks out of the dorm.

I can only watch her leave. My body is restraining me to follow her.

What did I do?

I walk out the door, only to go back to my dorm. I've found out so many things this week. Lucy loves me, Lisanna is jealous, and I can't seem to keep any of them happy. Sure, it's not a problem if Lisanna's sad, but it's the like a seesaw. Whenever Lucy's happy, Lisanna's sad. When ever Lisanna's happy, Lucy is sad. And it feels like it's all my fault.

And how long has Lucy loved me? It's only been a little over a month since we've met. She's really developed feelings already? Well, maybe it's because of the kiss I gave her forehead. but I meant that as something to comfort her, it's not like meant that out of love.

I mean, she's fun to be around, seeing her happy makes me smile, she makes the best bentos, and she smells like Vanilla and Strawberries.... Wait what?

Do I love Lucy?
