As we drove home, Eren was quiet.
On the upside though, he's been holding my hand this entire time.
"Hey big guy... What's on your mind? What are you planning?" I ask softly.
He scoffs and smirks. "Some date, huh?"
"..... Yeah, that was a nice throat punch." I nod and smile.
"Sorry for such a rocky start... I just wanted to give you a normal night of fun." Eren adds.
"We're rocky people Eren, normal is over rated." I chuckle.
"And you know what? I don't want normal." I say, leaning into his shoulder.
"Plus! The night doesn't have to end here. I have a whole case of mini coolers in my room, I also have twenty-five bucks in my account for pizza." I smile.
"What are you doing with a whole case of mini coolers in your room?" He raises an eyebrow.
"It's for a rainy day, and today is obviously pretty rainy." I scoff.
"You know what? That actually sounds like a lot of fun." He smirks.
"Hey Elvira, is cuddling an option too?" He adds.
I chuckle. "Indeed it is. Leo has to be invited into the cuddle puddle though because he's been neglected lately, sorry tough guy."
"I think I may be able to tolerate him tonight, the coolers will lower the stress." He chuckled.

"Okay Eren, take a drink! Something weird happened in the background." I say, sipping my drink.
"This is a weird game." Eren says, also sipping his drink.
I burp. ".... You're a weird game."
Eren rolled his eyes, then immediately stood up, taking his hoodie off and accidentally lifting his shirt up a bit with it.
"Shwing!" I move my hand in an upward fast motion from my upper thigh.
"Did you really just do that?" Eren chuckled.
"..... No.... did you- just- do that?.." I look to the side awkwardly.
"You're so cute." Eren continued chuckling.

"Ah! Eren- fuckin- stop!" I laugh as Eren throws pieces of the snakes and ladders board game at me.
"Look- I'm not competitive, but I'm still gonna win." He chuckled, throwing one last piece of the game at me.
"Where'd you get a board this big anyhow?" He asks, gesturing to the table cloth sized snakes and ladders mat on the living room table.
"I don't remember- and you already asked me twice. You're drunk, hahah." I say, stumbling backwards.
"And you're clearly sober." Eren replies with sarcasm dousing his words.
"Pft! Yeah I am." I reply.
"But on a serious note- don't worry about what has to get done. We're gonna get it done." I add.
"What are you even talking about?" Eren chuckles.
"Oh. Wait- no you- you don't need to get involved in this, this isn't your fight. I don't want you getting hurt." Eren replies.
"What do you mean? Yes it is my fight, they killed my brothers parents, now they're messing with my friends. I'm a big girl Eren, I'll be okay." I said softly.
"You're not trained for this the way we are though. This is dangerous, this isn't a fantasy." Eren retorted.
"Levi was in military training and taught me everything he knew in order to defend ourselves, he's been paranoid about his reality becoming mine my whole life, he trained me well. I know what I'm dealing with, I really don't think you should be worrying about me so much, I'm not naive." I reply.
"Mikasa told you, didn't she?" Eren piped up.
"Told me what?" I question.
"About my past, what happened to me and why I am- the way I am."
"Of course she did! She wanted me to look out for you and understand your sorry ass!" I chuckle.
"But you could have such a normal life without all of this shit."
"Normal was ripped from my life a long time ago, Eren." I smile half heartedly.
"Anyways, we've been over this. I don't want normal, I've never gotten normal. Why do you think I'm such an escapist?"
"Aren't you scared?" Eren raises his eyebrow.
"You know what terrifies me? The thought of just becoming like everyone else in this world. So brainwashed, so oblivious. I'm not afraid to acknowledge the ugly side of life, ignoring it is what scares me." I explain.
"This situation is pretty fucked." Eren says.
"What situation isn't fucked?" I reply.
