Chapter Twenty ~

"Okay, yes, I am in contact with her dad," Hoseok confessed as he sat on the couch at Namjoon's. "No, I don't talk with him everyday or anything. Just once in a while he sends me an e-mail or something asking how Emma is and what she's into at the moment."

"So he's still trying to be in their lives?" Namjoon then asked. The scattered puzzle pieces were finally trying to come together, as he tried to figure out which ones fit together.

Hoseok looked at the brown-haired male weirdly. "Well, yeah. Not so much with Emma's mom, of course, but he still wants to be a part of his daughter's life. Wouldn't you?"

Namjoon nodded, the last statement hitting him more than anything else his friend had said.

"And yeah, he sends her stuff to my house so I can give it to Emma as discreetly as I can. It's normally just a little dress or something," Hoseok continued. "Let's see... he probably lives maybe... and hour or two away? Not much."

"Why doesn't he visit? Like face-to-face. Show up at the front door and knock."

"I'm not exactly sure," Hoseok replied. "I try not to get into all that and plus I'm usually busy running errands so I can't exactly just sit and chat over the phone. But if I was Jin, I'd probably do what he does just because I wouldn't have to face my ex – his ex, who pushed him away and won't give him any type of custody over his own child."

Namjoon crossed his arms, using the back of the couch to support his body. "Now that you say it, I think I would do the same."

"His e-mails are getting a lot shorter, though, and he rarely checks in now," Hoseok added. "I think that he might just be moving on. I can't say I don't blame him, but I'm sure it'll break Emma's heart."

Namjoon nodded again. His mind drifted to Miyuu, thinking about how quickly she chose to run off with someone else and cheat. "It always seems like one half is quick to go about with their own business, while the other half is struggling to live without them."
