When Emma's hair went from soaked to damp, Namjoon decided that it was time for bed again. The towels had lost their warmth, but Emma still clung to them like they were her lifeline. Namjoon cleaned the grass and dirt off her feet before telling her that she could sleep in his bed.

"I'll just sleep on the floor right here," Namjoon reassured her when he saw a frightened look cross the girl's eyes. He gestured to the floor just below the bed. He didn't think it would be wise of him to leave her scared and alone during a thunderstorm. "You want me to tuck you in?"

Emma nodded slowly, as if embarrassed. Namjoon helped her under the covers after he situated the pillows. He pulled the blankets up to her nose and grinned. "Goodnight, Emma," he said. "If you need me, I'll be right down here, okay? Just wake me up if you get scared or something."

Emma nodded and watched Namjoon go over to his closet and grab a spare blanket and pillow. His dark figure threw them onto the ground and before she watched him disappear below the bed, he turned on the bathroom light and cracked the door to give off a little light. He hoped the small sliver of white light would act a night light and help her fall back asleep despite the raging storm outside. He told her goodnight once more and tried to make himself as comfortable as one could when sleeping on the ground. His bones dug into the hard floor and he considered moving downstairs to the couch when Emma went to sleep.

She might wake up, though, and notice I'm gone, Namjoon told himself as he rolled over for the umpteenth time. But after a few minutes of endless readjusting, Namjoon finally fell asleep.

As for Emma, she was snug in Namjoon's hoodie and under his covers. She was warm now, not freezing cold like she had been. She raised up and peered over the edge of the mattress to see her friend asleep. A loud clap of thunder made her cower back to the safety of the blankets, though. Her eyes wandered around the room, looking at all the little things scattered around. Before long, she also fell asleep, content that Namjoon knew how to adjust the pillows just right and turn on a nightlight.
