"Orange Caramel Café, 11 o'clock sharp Sunday morning," Hoseok stated as the three stood in the doorway of Namjoon's home. It was dark now, meaning they had spent well over a few hours talking. It was raining, too, causing the two guests to be a bit hesitant about leaving. "Set your clocks, write it on your calendars. We can't miss this chance. If we don't try to make ourselves seem proper, he might not be as prone to giving in."
Namjoon nodded. "It's not like I have anything better to do."
Miyuu looked at Hoseok. "I work nights on Sundays. Shouldn't be hard to manage."
Hoseok looked relieved. "Then until then, I guess. I guess we'll just start with Plan A when we see him."
"If that doesn't work, we'll go to Plan B," Miyuu reassured.
"But after that, we're screwed," Namjoon sighed.
"It's not like we aren't already," Hoseok murmured, stepping away from Namjoon's door and under the porch's roof. Stray raindrops splashed onto his black shoes. "I'll talk with you guys later. Goodnight, Namjoon. Miyuu."
"Goodnight," Namjoon called back, Miyuu's good-bye echoing after his. The two watched as their orange-haired friend ran to his car and drove off, leaving the two ex's to stand in silence awkwardly.
"So, um, I guess I'll see you then, if not earlier," Miyuu broke the ice, looking up at Namjoon expectantly.
Namjoon nodded. "Yeah, I guess so. Do you think we should dress up? Like maybe business casual? Or strictly business? I want to look-"
Miyuu giggled. "God, if only we were still together, you'd have me to help match your clothes."
Namjoon stared at her awkwardly, making Miyuu's giggles get caught in her throat, causing her to choke on a couple before she decided it was time to leave and save herself the humiliation. You're trying too hard, girl. Get a grip.
Namjoon watched her pull away from the curb and drive off into the rainy night before he turned off his porch light and locked his front door behind him. He turned off the lights downstairs and climbed the stairs up to his bedroom. He entered and went to his closet and saw a few spare hangers rocking back and forth from the airflow. He gave a solemn nod to an invisible presence. "We'll get you into a better home soon, Emma. Just hang on."
